I am enclosing a topographic map on which we have indicated in red lines, the proposed extension of the sewer into Chesterfield County. This line is expected to serve property owned by the follow- ing listed peoples Ae Ee Tate Lumber Company, Incorporated George G. Burrows Lumber Company Katherine Be Holland James S. Stanley The Weatherford Memorial Baptist Church It also will serve the lands belonging to John H. Martin and Earl M. Martin, however, you have already granted permission for the Martins to extend the sewer. The Weatherford Memorial Baptist Church has not finally in- dicated that they desire to tap into this sewer, however, the parties between them and the city line have agreed that they may do so if they wish to. It is, therefore, requested that this matter be brought to the attention of the Board of Supervisors and that we be permitted to enter into a contract with the City of Richmond to extend the sewer to serve the properties mentioned above and along the lines indicated on the attached map. I think that if this truck were placed with a volunteer fire department to save our new trucks from going into the wood, it would be no doubt profitable to the County. The Virginia Forest Service has agreed to leave the pump and tank on the truck. VIRGINIA December 20, 1955 Mr. M. W. W. Moore, voted to request the Board of Supervisors of Chester- field County to allow said Association to maintain, operate and receive the proceeds from the Coke Machine and any other vending machines installed at the Court House. The proceeds derived from these machines would be deposited to the general account of the Association. You are familiar with the purposeeiveds of the organization and I am sure that the money would assist the Association in its program. The Association was advised that in a number of Counties in the Commonwealth, the proceeds from the operation of vending machines in County office Buildings are handled by the Police Benevolent Association. The Chase Construction Company has recently purghased the Kornegay Tract which runs from Rt.60 to the western end of Piney Lane, which road runs to Buford Road. This Company is cooperating with T.L.Lindsey in this project. It is proposed to construct a road from the western and of Piney Lane to Rt.60,which road would be approximately one mile in length. It is proposed to construct this to meet Highway specifications.on any right of way width that is presently the policy of the County• We request the Board of Supervisors to accept the deed for this right of way, which has been surveyed by a certified engineer and is subject to check or change by the County engineering forces or the Highway engineering forces. Since this is such a large tract of land, we would like to extend this road immediately and have same accepted by the County so that we may divide the land in an orderly manner, taking building sites where possible. In this manner we get a much better subdivision. All lots will be in excess of one acre. As soon as this right of way is accepted vre propose to start immediately the construction of several houses which will be in the $20,000 to$25,000.00 range. We propose to develop tge Kornegay Lake and existing facilities as a club house for the benefit of the owners of this land. Due to the length of time necessary for obtaining all parcels of this land, some of which had to be gained from colored citizens, we now find ourselves somewhat pressed for time. Your immediate attention to this would greatly facilitate our initiation of this projects Very truly yours, CHASE CONSTRM TION COMPANY, INC. By: /1- 7. He Chas, Pres.
