SESSION <br /> <br /> <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR’S COMMENTS <br /> <br />? <br /> <br />The Board observed a moment of silence in memory of Sgt. Aaron Xavier Wittman, <br />th <br />who was killed in combat in Afghanistan on January 10. <br /> <br />? <br /> <br />Mr. Stegmaier was pleased to report some great news received recently that will be <br />brought before the Board of Supervisors for approval. The Department of Homeland <br />Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency has awarded Chesterfield Fire & <br />EMS the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) for the replacement of personal <br />protective clothing (i.e., firefighting turnout gear). <br /> <br />? <br /> <br />Mr. Stegmaier announced the next phase in the development at Stonebridge. Crosland <br />Southeast in partnership with Hartford-based Hutensky Capital Partners, the developer <br />of Stonebridge, and Virginia Beach-based Boyd Homes, the builder and developer of <br />numerous local communities, announced that they have reached an agreement to build a <br /> <br />600 unit urban style apartment complex in Stonebridge. <br /> <br />? <br /> <br />Mr. Stegmaier summarized the key points of the Annual Revenue Forum that was held <br />th <br />on January 16. <br /> <br />Ms. Mary Ann Curtain provided an update to the Board on recent activity at the General <br />Assembly. <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS AND SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />Adopted Resolution recognizing Mr. Randolph L. Emory, Department of General <br /> Services, Fleet Management Division, upon his retirement. <br /> <br />WORK SESSIONS <br /> <br />A Work Session was held regarding the proposed FY2014-FY2018 Capital Improvement <br />Program. <br /> <br />DEFERRED ITEMS <br /> <br />Approved Conveyance of easement across Crestwood Elementary School property <br /> to Virginia Electric and Power Company. <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
