SESSION <br /> <br /> <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR’S COMMENTS <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Stegmaier was pleased to show a brief video that highlighted continued success in <br />the sports tourism area. Last month the county hosted the Intercollegiate Woman’s <br />Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Champions Cup at four venues in the county <br />with 375 teams and 15,000 visitors and this past weekend the IWLCA Capital Cup with <br />420 teams at two venues with even more visitors. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Stegmaier was happy to report the Center for Digital Government has announced <br />the winners of its annual Digital Counties Survey and Chesterfield County ranked first <br />this year in the category of counties with populations from 250,000 – 500,000. <br />Chesterfield has placed in the top 10 six times. Chesterfield has placed first in this <br />survey three times, the only locality our size in the nation to do so. The competition is <br />a collaborative effort by the Center for Digital Government, Government Technology <br /> <br />and the National Association of Counties. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Stegmaier announced that in partnership with the Eppington Foundation, a <br />$268,000 restoration at Eppington was completed this spring. This was the first <br />complete house restoration since the county acquired the property in 1991. Siding, <br />windows and doors were refurbished, a new roof, gutters and downspouts were <br />installed and the first floor received added structural support around chimneys and <br />exterior foundations. The Eppington Foundation provided half of the funding for the <br />project. <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS AND SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />Adopted Resolution recognizing Health Center Commission members Ms. Janice <br />Dial, Ms. Michele Stoll and Colonel James Kalanges for their service to <br />Chesterfield County. <br /> <br />Adopted Resolution recognizing Corporal Raymond D.
