This day t-he County Road Engineer in accordance with directions from this Board made report in writing upon his examination of Lake Hills in Dale Magisterial District, which shows that in theopinion of the County Road Engineer it is expedient that saim road be established as a public road. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of Mr.Apperson, it is resolved that Lake Hills in Dale District, be, and the same is hereby established as a public road. And be it further resolved that the Virginia Department of Highways be and it hereby is requested to take into the Secondary RoadSystem,'Lake Hills, beginning at a point o~ Route 2291, .O3 miles of Route 637, extending northwardly .08 miles thence westwardly .0~ miles to a turn-around. T~is road serves 4 houses. ' And be it further resolved, that the Board of Supervisors guarantees to the Virginia Department of Highways a jO-ft, right of way for Lake Hills Road. Plat recorded in Plat Book 10, Page 105 on September 26, 1958. There was read a letter notifying the County that ~120,000 had been allocated from the Industrial access Road Fund to the improvement of Cofer Road. The Board was notified that the Speed limit on Osborne Road would remain at .' 40 ~iPH. There was read a report from the Highway Depatment concerning the traffic signal study at the intersection of Rts. 10 and 144 in Chester, which study indicated that a traffic signal is not justified at this intersection at this time. On motion of the entire Board, it is resolved that the Highway Department be a~d it hereby is highly commended for its diligence in the snow removal during the recent snows, and the Board wishes further to commend the Highway Department personnel for their efficiency in clearing both primary and secondary roads in tb_e County ' ofChesterf iel d. ' On.motion of Mr.Browning, seconded by Mr.A~person, it is resolved t?lat this Board re,quests the Highway Department to improve a storm sewer drain from ThirdAvenue, running eastwardly through the p~operty of ~s. Mann at 12 Third Avenne, and to charge same to the 3¢ Road Fund of the County. On motion of ~Ir. Browning, seconded by Mr.Apperson, it is resolved that the Highway Eepartment and the County Police Department be request, ed to study the possibility of "No Parking" areas on Chesterfield Avmue in Ettrick. On motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by Mr.Apperson, it is resolved that this Board requests the Highway Denartment to study the drainage on Dorset Road, between Welford and Pettus, and to install a larger culvert, if necessary. And be it further resolved, that the request for a stidewalk on Dorset Road be added to the list of s~tes to ~tudy for such a facility. On motion of Nir. Goyne, seconded by Mr. Browning, it is resolved that this Board requests the Highway Department to eliminate the high bank on tbs north side of Curtis Street, east of the Ra%lroad in Chester.
