SESSION <br /> <br /> <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR’S COMMENTS <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Stegmaier reported the Accounting Department has completed preparation of the <br />County’s FY2015 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), which includes <br />financial statements audited by Cherry Bekaert, LLP, independent auditors. Mr. Rob <br />Churchman, the engagement partner from KPMG, LLP, formally presented the report <br />to the Board. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Stegmaier announced Chesterfield County has received the Distinguished Budget <br />Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for <br />the period beginning July 1, 2015. The award reflects the commitment of the governing <br />body and staff to meet the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to <br />receive the budget award, the county had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for <br />an effective budget presentation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Stegmaier announced the Chesterfield Community Services Board Department of <br />Mental Health Support Services received a three-year re-accreditation for all of its <br />programs from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities <br />(CARF). The accreditation outcome represents the highest level of accreditation, <br />marking the seventh consecutive three-year accreditation awarded to the Chesterfield <br />CSB by CARF, an international accreditation body. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Stegmaier reported at last week’s VACo annual meeting, Chesterfield, along with five <br />other counties, was recognized by VACo as a 2015 Go Green county. Mr. Larry Land, <br />Director of Policy and Development for VACo and Mr. Tony Bell, Vice President of <br />Moseley Architects presented the award to the county. <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS AND SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />Adopted Resolution recognizing Mr. Curtis W. Campbell, Building Inspection <br />Department, upon his retirement. <br /> <br />Adopted Resolution recognizing the Greater Southport Business Association on <br />th <br />its 35 Anniversary. <br /> <br />Adopted Resolution recognizing The Richmond Forum on the occasion of its 30 th <br />season. <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
