COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR'S COMMENTS
Ms. Joan Salvati, Water Quality Administrator, presented information regarding
the outline of a proposed report on Methyl Tertiary-Butyl Ether (MtBE) in
Chesterfield County.
Approved
Tentative public hearing date of February 2004 to consider the
effects of Methyl Tertiary-Butyl Ether (MtBE) on the county's
water supply.
Mr. Bradford Armstrong, President and CEO of the Virginia Performing Arts
Foundation, Mr. Mike Watkins, Chairman, Greater Richmond Hotel/Motel
Association, and Mr. Larry Brown, President, School of the Performing Arts in
the Richmond Community (SPARC) presented a report on the activities of their
respective organizations relating to the proposed Performing Arts Center and
requested county support for funding for the center. They were also joined by
Bill Baxter of the Retail Merchants Association and Jack Berry of the Richmond
Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Hurricane Isabel.
Note: Ms. Nancy Finch, Chairman of the Chesterfield Business
Council (CBC), also presented the county with a resolution

assistance they provided to citizens and businesses during and
following Hurricane Isabel.
