Ranrsey <br /> <br />Summary of Actions Taken by the Board on November 12, 2003 <br /> <br />4:00 P.M. SESSION <br /> <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR'S COMMENTS <br /> <br />Ms. Joan Salvati, Water Quality Administrator, presented information regarding <br />the outline of a proposed report on Methyl Tertiary-Butyl Ether (MtBE) in <br />Chesterfield County. <br /> <br />Approved <br /> <br />Tentative public hearing date of February 2004 to consider the <br />effects of Methyl Tertiary-Butyl Ether (MtBE) on the county's <br />water supply. <br /> <br />Mr. Bradford Armstrong, President and CEO of the Virginia Performing Arts <br />Foundation, Mr. Mike Watkins, Chairman, Greater Richmond Hotel/Motel <br />Association, and Mr. Larry Brown, President, School of the Performing Arts in <br />the Richmond Community (SPARC) presented a report on the activities of their <br />respective organizations relating to the proposed Performing Arts Center and <br />requested county support for funding for the center. They were also joined by <br />Bill Baxter of the Retail Merchants Association and Jack Berry of the Richmond <br />Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau. <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS AND SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />Adopted <br /> <br />Resolution recognizing employees for their efforts related to <br />Hurricane Isabel. <br /> <br />Note: Ms. Nancy Finch, Chairman of the Chesterfield Business <br />Council (CBC), also presented the county with a resolution <br />adopted by the CBC commending county employees for the <br />assistance they provided to citizens and businesses during and <br />following Hurricane Isabel. <br /> <br />Adopted <br /> <br />Resolution recognizing Ms. Alyson Smith for outstanding <br />community support related to Hurricane Isabel. <br /> <br /> <br />
