The GFOA has awarded Chesterfield the <br />Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the fiscal year beginning July <br />1, 2003. This is the 20th consecutive year that Chesterfield has won this <br />award. This is the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting. <br /> <br />In order to receive the award a government must produce a document that <br />meets certain criteria as a policy document, as an operation guide, as a <br />financial plan, and as a communications device. <br /> <br />Staff appreciates the support and leadership of the Board and will continue <br />to improve the quality and effectiveness of the County's financial plan. <br /> <br />Preparer: RebeccaT.
