Ramsey <br /> <br />Summary of Actions Taken by the Board on May 23, 2001 <br /> <br />4:00 P.M. SESSION <br /> <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR'S COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Ramsey congratulated Mr. Raymond Hevener for receiving a Gold Medal by the <br />Commonwealth Virginia Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall <br />of Fame as a lifetime achievement award for excellence in community service. <br /> <br />· Dr. William Nelson, Director of Health Department, presented a briefing on the West <br /> Nile Virus. <br /> <br />· Mr. Ramsey presented a recommendation for a filtering system to be placed on various <br /> computers in the County Library branches. <br /> <br />Approved <br /> <br />County Administrator's recommendation for a filtering system to be placed <br />on various computers in the County Library System and public hearing <br />date of June 20, 2001 to consider extending the filtering system to all <br />computers in the County Library System. <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS AND SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />Adopted <br /> <br />Resolution recognizing the McDonald's Family Restaurant at 5925 <br />Hopkins Road, as the "2001 Clean Business of the Year." <br /> <br />Adopted <br /> <br />Resolution recognizing Bon Secours Richmond Health System upon <br />locating Saint Francis Medical Center in Chesterfield County. <br /> <br />Adopted Resolution recognizing Ms. Martha E. Willoughby, Accounting <br /> Department, upon her retirement. <br /> <br />WORK SESSIONS <br /> <br />Virginia Beach Fire Chief Bruce Edwards presented a briefing on the operations and recruitment/ <br />retention efforts of Virginia Beach's Emergency Medical Services System. <br /> <br />Chesterfield County Deputy Fire Chief Frank Edwards presented a briefing on the proposed <br />Emergency Medical Services Revenue Recovery Program. <br /> <br /> <br />
