<br /> day the County Engineer, by letter, dated May 25, 1956, advised the Board
<br /> that the,Kenmore Ridge sewage treatment plant and sewerage system constructed by
<br /> the Land Company of Virginia, Inc. pursuant to contract heretofore agreed upon by
<br /> this Board and the Corporation, had been constructed by the Gorporation and was
<br /> in a condition for the County to re~bive title to the sewage treatment plant and
<br /> sewerage ~ystem provided the following conditions are corrected:
<br />
<br /> A baffle board to be installed in the chlorination of
<br /> final tank.
<br />
<br /> 2. The discharge sewerage line from the plant be installed as
<br /> per a drawing made by J.K.Timmons, dated January 10, 1956.
<br />
<br /> 3. A pump robe installed over the final tank for periodic
<br /> flushing of the discharCe line of the plant.
<br />
<br />~n motion of Mr.Britton, seconded by Mr. Goyne, it is resolved, that this Board
<br />hereby requests the Land Company of Virginia, Inc. to complete the sewerage system
<br />and sewage treatment plant in accordance with the contract heretofore a~reed upon
<br />and when completed and operatin~ in a sa tisfactory manner, the system and treatmen,
<br />plant willbe accepted by the Board for maintenance and opdration.
<br />
<br />Be it Further Resolved: That Mr. Brooks, advise this Board within sixty (g0} days
<br />of the progress being made and the condition of the sewage system and treatment
<br />plant.
<br />
<br /> This day the County Road Engineer in accordance with directions from this Board
<br /> made report in writing upon his examination of Magnolia Avenue in Noweta Gardens
<br /> Matoaca Magisterial District, which report shows that in the opinion of the County
<br /> Road ~ngineer it is expedient that said road be established as a public road=
<br /> Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of Ur. Gill, it is resolved that
<br /> M~gnolia Avenue in Noweta Gerdens in Matoaca Magisterial D/-~riot, be, and
<br /> same is hereby established as a public road~
<br />And be it further resolved, that the Virginia Department of Highways be, and
<br />it hereby is requested to take into the Secondary Road System of Chesterfield Count
<br />Magnolia ~venue, in the Noweta Gardens Subdivision, Matoaca Magisterial District,
<br />from apoint on the southern end of Rt. 858, o2 of a mi~e southwardly to a turn-
<br />around. This road se~ves 2 houses.
<br />And be it further resolved that the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County
<br />g~arantee a right of way to the State Uepartment of Highways of not less than
<br />50 feet for this road.
<br />
<br />On motion of Mr.Britton, seconded by Df. Gill, it is resolved that the Executive
<br />Secr~tary be and he hereby is authorized to write to Mr. W.P.Leonard, stating
<br />that this Board will accept for maintenance and operation the water system ~n
<br />Pocoshock Heichts* provided the improvement as stated in a letter from Mr.
<br />George Shropshire on ~aY 25th be accomplished.
<br />
<br />On motion of Dr. ?~11, seconded by Hr.Britton, it is resolved that this Board
<br />appropriate from rue unexpended surplus of the General Fund $333.33 to 2c-100=
<br /> ComDensation of License Inspector and $355.00 to 2c-319-Offtce Expenses.
<br />
<br />And be it further resolved that the Treasurer of the County be nd he hereby is
<br />requested to transfer from the unexpended surplus of ~
<br />$333.33 to Item 2o-100 and $355.00 to Item 2o_319. the County s General Fund
<br />
<br />On motion of Mr.Goyne, seconded by Df. Gill, it is resolved that the Executive
<br />Secretary be authorized to have the Chester dump cleaned off and a fire lane
<br />cut around the entire area at a cost not to exceed $500.00.
