Gill <br /> <br />This day again the ma%ber of pruning the trees in the County courtyard came <br />before ti~e Board, and it was ~eneraliy agr~cd ~kat this matter be de±ayed until <br />the next meeting of this Board, and that the Execrative Secretary consult with <br />i4r. T. D. Watkins rel~ive ~.o ~ke feasibiiiuy of priming the valuable tre~s in <br />the courtyard. <br /> <br />This day i4r. Harold Goyne brought ~o t:~ atte~tion oi' t~e Board the mat~er of <br />protecting records in the Clerk's uffice, and it was generally agreed tnaL the <br />Executive Secretary consult with the Judge of Circuit Court, Clerk of Circuit <br />Court, and the Commonwealth's Attorney, re~arding the Commonwealth's Attorney~ <br />re;~arding the Board's responsibility in this matter. <br /> <br />This day ~4r. John Taylor came before the Board seeking the job of the operatkon <br />of the filtration plant at Falling Creek. There came also ,4r. Homer S. Hudson, <br />seeking the same job. <br /> Upon consideration whereof, and on raotion of 14r. Goyne, seconded by <br />Gunter, it is resolvcd t[at %his Board employ i~'ir. Homer S. Hudson at a salary <br />of ,~32©O.OO per year, and free rental of the County owned house on the Falling <br />Creek. It is understood timt the rental of this house ks valued at $40.OO per <br />month, and that 14r. Hudson is to pay all utilities nece~;~ary. <br /> <br />This day the Executive Sr:cretary read a list of roads acce]~ted into the State <br />Secondary System of roads by the De~mrtmcnt of Highways. Length 0.31 Mile. <br /> <br />This day the Finance Board reco,'~:~ended the Bank of Fowhatan to be named as a <br />depository for Chesterfield County funds. <br /> Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of i4r. Britton, seconded by <br />Gunter, it is resolved that the Bank of Powhatan be and the same is hereby <br />deczared to be an approved depository for funds of the County of Chesterfield. <br /> <br />This day the Executive Secretary read a letter from the Hon. Lloyd C. Bird, <br />quoting'certain proposed le~islation in which the Board of Supervisors might <br />be interested. On motion, the same is ordered to be received and filed with <br />the Board's papers. <br /> <br />This day the Light Co~nittee of the Board of Supervisors made its report in <br />writing. On motion of 14r. Britton, secon~ied [~y ~ir. Goyne, it is resolved that <br />the Virginia Electric & Power Company be and it hereby is requested to install <br />the street li,~hts as r¢co.~:~nended in this report. <br /> <br /> <br />
