({unter <br /> <br />hhereas, the Atlantic Coast ],ino Railroad Company proposes to discontinue and <br />abandon its freight station on Washington Street in Petersburg and to construct <br />a new passnnger and freight station on its Belt Line in Chesterfield County, just <br />north of the Village of Ettrick, <br /> <br />Now, Therefore, 1~ it Resolved on motion of Dr. Gill, seconded by 3ir. Lm-itton, <br />that this Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County hereby expresses its approval <br />of the proposed chan~e, which it believes will bo beneficial to Chesterfield County <br />and to tho Village of Ettrick and <br /> <br />Be it Further Resolved, that a copy of this resolution bo sent to the Chairman of <br />the State Corporation Commission, State Office Building. Ric]lmond, Virginia. <br /> <br />This day Mr. Itorton, Supt. Atlentic Coast line RD. and ~tr. J.31. Townsend, Counsel <br />for the Atlantic Coast ],ine R.R. appeared requesting the closing of the [%oodpecker <br />Road *'.cross the Atlantic Coast I,ine tracks. Came also ~xir. Jeff Vauchan, repre- <br />sented by Mr. }l.}i. Gi]]iam, to oppose the closing of the said i%oodpecker Road. <br />After considerable discussion it was agreed that the [~ard would meet on A,,ril <br />6th at 5:30 p.m. to view the Woodpecker Road and tho proposed site for the'new <br />Railroad Station. <br /> <br />This day Mr. Carter C. Swinson came before the Board seeking the answer to whether <br />or not the ~ard would approve the "~o]loman llouse", a semi-prefabricated house, <br />and it was generally agreed that after ~lr. Swinson made formal application for a <br />building perulit the Boar(l of Supervisors would againconsider this request. <br /> <br />On motion of Br. Gill, seconded by ~r. Britton, it is resolved that the ~%oard <br />obtain the services of an architectural engineer to make a study of the prefab- <br />ricated houses prently in the County and these p~oposed to be built in the future <br />in the County, for the purpose of establishing some code for prefabricated houses <br />in the County of ~hesterfiel~. <br /> <br />On motion of ~lr. Goyne, seconded by )tr. I~itton, it is resolved thai the Trea~,urer <br />of the County be ~nd he hereby is authorized to sell. the three (~) ¥1000.00 <br />bonds now held to pay off the Bermuda District School }~nd. <br /> <br />This day the Executive Secretary read a letter from ~, ~ic~unond £qemorial llospital <br />which letter requested some information on tho additional $1000.00 purported to <br />be contributed by the Soard of Supervisors to the Riclm~ond Memorial Hospital ~ilding <br />Fund. Upon consideration whereof and on motion of Dr. ~ill, seconded by iQr. <br />~oyne, i~ is resolved ~ha~ ~his matier be continued for some future consideration. <br /> <br />This day the Executive Secretary read the following list of roads which have been <br />accepted by the nigh~,ay Department into the Secondary bystom of reads: <br /> <br />}~ginning at presetn end of nsintenance Rt, 1686, extending in an <br />northeasterly direction to a dead end.
