Homer <br /> <br />VIRGINIA: <br /> <br />At an adjourned meeting of <br />the Board of Supervisors of <br />Chesterfield County, held <br />at the Courthouse on Rlay 17 <br />1949, at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The Executive Secretary stated that the following cases for rezoning having bee~ dulM <br />advertised were ready for action: <br /> <br />(1) In Dale Magisterial District on the west side of Rt. lO, at the intersection of <br />Rt. l0 and Rt. 641, a distance of 300 feet along Rt. lO with a depth of 200 feet. <br />This applicati~ is made by ~r. J. E. Lundie and is for rezoning from Agriculture <br />to Local Business. No one appearing objecth~g to the rezoning of this property, <br />it is resolved on motion of J. G. Hening that the application be granted. <br /> <br />(2) In ~v~nchester R~gisterial District in the Village of Granite, on the east side <br />of Rt. 683, all of that area now being developed by Schmidt and Wilson, as a sub- <br />division known as the Granite Tract, with the exception of the Block along the <br />Southern RR. This application is made by Schmidt and Wilson and is for reooning <br />from Agriculture to Residential-2, and no one appearing objecting to this rezoning <br />it is resolved On motion of James W. Gordon, Jr., that the application be granted. <br />Further, that t~ie area i~nediately along the Southern Ry. tracks east of Rt. 683 and <br />south of the Southern Ry. for a distance of ap?roximately 700 feet, from Agriculture <br />to ~nufacturing. This application is made by Schmidt & Wilson. <br />Further, that the area i~%ediately along the Southern Ry. tracks east of Rt. 683 and <br />south of the Southern Ry. for a distance of approximately 700 feet, from Agriculture <br />to ~;mnufacturing. There appearing several residents opposing ~his re~oning, it <br />is resolved oh motion of Irvin G. Hornet that the application be and it hereby is <br />denied. <br /> <br />(3) In Manchester l~gisterial District in the subdivision of Grindall Creek Park, <br />Lots #1 in Block A, at the corner of Watkins Avenue and Courthouse Road. This <br />applicatiom is made by the Chase Construction Company and is for rezoning from <br />Residential to Local Business. There appearing no one objecting to this rezoning, <br />it is on motion of J. G. Hening, resolved that the application be and it hereby is <br />grant ed. <br /> <br />(4) In Manchester ~agisterial District on the north side of the ~idlothian Turnpike <br />Rt. 60, approximately 700 feet eas~ ~ the intersection of Rt. 60 and R.t. 678, a <br />frontage of 200 feet, more or less, and a depth of 100 feet. This application is <br />made by ~qr. ~Lilton W. Clarke and is for rezoning from Agriculture to Local Business. <br />There being no 8ne objecting to this rezoning, it is resolved on motion of J. G. <br />Hening, that the application be granted. <br /> <br />(5) In Manchester Magisterial District on Rt. lO at the southwest intersection of <br />Rt. l0 and Rt. 1666, a distance of 100 feet on Rt. 10 with a depth of 150 feet on <br />Rt. 1666. This application is made by J. E. Bailey and is for rezoning from <br />Agriculture to Local Business. There being no objections to the rezoning of <br />this property, it is on motion of P. W. Covington, granted. <br /> <br />(6) In Manchester ~Zmgisterial District on Rt. 643, approximately 500 feet south of <br />Rt. 643, and R~$. 651, a distance of 200 feet along Rt. 643 with a depth of 750 f~et. <br />This application is made by ~r. Geo. N. Hockett, of Lambert & Pettus Construction <br />Company, and is for rezoning from Agriculture to General Business. No one appearing <br />to protest the g~nting of this application, it is resolved on motion of Irvin G. <br />Homer, that the application be granted. <br /> <br />(7)~ ~n Midlothian ~gisterial District on the south side of Rt. 360, between the <br />intersection of Rt. 360 and R~. 604, and Rt. 360 and R~. 654, a distance of 200 feet <br />along ~t. 360, with a depth o£ 200 feet~ This application is for rezoning from <br />Agriculture to Local Business. No objections being voiced in the matter, it <br />is resolved on motion of James W. Gordon, Jr., that the application be and it hereby <br />is granted. <br /> <br /> (8) In Midlothian Magisterial District on the south side of the Southern Ry. and between <br /> the Southern Ry., and Rt. 675, a distance of approximately 2800 feet along the <br /> Southern Ry. near Robious Station, with a depth of 1500 feet, more particularly note¢ <br /> on the Land Identification R~p in the Office of the Commissioner of Revenue as being <br /> Parcel #49 and 50, Section 2. This application is made by Mr. F. R. Daniels, Jr., <br /> ~and is for rezoning from Agriculture to }~anufacturing. There appeared before the <br /> , Board a delegation opposing the granting of this application, and upon consideration <br /> iwhereof, and on motion of James W. Gordon, Jr., it is resolved that the application <br /> ~be and it hereby is denied. <br />· <br /> This day there ~ppe..~red before the Board a delegation from the Village of Matoaca <br /> ~represe~ted by ~r. wynn, regarding the installation of a water line in Matoaca, <br /> <br /> <br />
