Bernard Gould be and ihe hereby is informed that it is this Board~s opinion that the lay-out as sho~n in hisi pencil sketch of a tract of land in B~rmuda District of Chesterfield County is a '~ subdivision incontemplation of law and that the construction following the presented sketch should conform to the State Subdivision law and the ordinance adopted in pursuance thereof, and with theregulations of the State Higheay Department as to streets in said subdivision. On motion, it is resolved that Mr. McKessor~ and ~r. Hornet of this Bsmrd and the Executive Secretary meet with Mr. Wysor of W. V~. LaPrade & Bros., l~r. Pettigrew ~md Mr. Kellam of the Virginia ~epartment of Highways, on the Granite Road, at a date to be agreed upon to work oat the problem there. ~ This day the matter of Kenyon Avenye and Yale ~kvenue in McGuire Villaf;e in Manchester District came before the Board and upon consideration whereof and onmotion, it is resolved that the resolution of this Board heretofore passed concerning said roads andremesting the Virginia Department of Hi~hways to take into the Secondary System such roads, dated September 1~, 1949, be and thcsame is hereby rescinded. This day again the matter of Kenyon Avenue in McGuire Village came ~efore the Board and it is resolved that th~ portion of Kenyon Avenye leading northwardly and eastwardly from Veterans ~venue on said Plan for a distance of ap~roxin~tely 600 feet be and the same isrequested to be taken into the otat~° ~ Secondary System. 7~ad be it further resolved that bh~ Virginia Department of t{ijhways be and it her~byi s request~d to take into the Secondary System of Highways, Kenyon Avenue in 14cGuir~ Village for a distance of approxir.~tely 600 feet~ running northwardly and eastwardly from Veterans Avenue. Porter who was heretofore appointed by this Board as Supervisor Air-Warning Service of Midlothian advised the Board, by letter, that he had ~rganiz.~d a group of volunteers to man and operate an observation Post on US Rt. ~60. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion, it is ordered tLat thi.~; letter be received and filed. This day there was presented to the Board by the Executive Secretary a certified copy of an order of the Circuit Court dated July 24 1950, directing this Board to execute and deliver ~o Mr. Harry J. Moody, a good and sufficient deed conveying to him the 35-foot strip of land in Chester, Virginia, the same bein~:~ the portion of the abandoned Rt. /~10~ upon the layment of the purchase price of Two Hundred {$200.00} Dollars. Upon consideration whereof and on motion, it is resolved that the Chairman and Clerk of this Board be, and they are h~reby directed to execute on behalf of this Board a deed conveying to Harry Jay Moody th? strip of lan~ hereinabove mentioned, upon receipt of said purchase price of $200.00, all i~ accordance with the order of the Circuit Court of Chesterfield County.
