O. Gill <br />Irvin G. Horner <br /> <br />Absent: J. G.Henin g <br /> <br />In the absence of the Chairman, it is on motion resolved that Mr. James W. <br />Gordon, Jr., be the Chairman for t his meeting. <br /> <br />This day the rra tter of improving certain roads in the Ivey Tract came before <br />the Board. Upon consideration whereof and on motion of Mr.H.T.Goyne, it is <br />resolved that a sum not to exceed $200.00 be spent on the improvement of South <br />Street in the said lvey tract, same to be charged to the 3¢ Road Fund. <br /> <br />This day again the matter of using the Millhiser quarry as a storage reservoir <br />in the proposed improvement of the water syst em came before the Board and on <br />motion of Mr.J.W.Gordon,Jr., seconded by Ivir.J.C.lv1cKesson, it is I' esolved that the <br />Executive Secretary be and he hereby is requested to get as many bids as possible <br />on cleaning out said quarry and I' eport at the next meet ing of t his Board. <br /> <br />And be it further resolved that the Executive Secretary be requested to keep a <br />watch at tœ quarry a t all times ani to keep the water pumped from t he quarry <br />making such tests as are possible and feasible. <br /> <br />This day agå n the rIB tter of purchasing water from the City 0f Richmond came <br />before the Board. Upon consideration \,{le:'eof and on motion of Mr.H.T.Goyne, <br />seconded by Dr. Robt. O.Gill, it is resolved that the Water Conunittee be and <br />it œ reby is requested to wait on the City of Richmond and hear any further <br />proposals concerning the purchase of water and related subjects. It is here <br />noted that Mr.J.C.McA.esson and Mr.J.W.ßordon, Jr., voted in the negative. <br /> <br />On motion, it is resolved that the sum of $25,000.00 be and it hereby is transferred <br />from the General County Fund to the Construction Fund of the Utili ties Department!. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr.J.C.McA.esson, seconded by ~w.H.T.Goyne, it is resolved that the <br />Executive Secretary be' and he hereby is directed to request the Virginia Elec§ric <br />and Power Company to install lights at Holly Inn on Rt.360, at the intersection <br />of Snead Road and Rt.360, and at the intersection of Hey Road and Rt.360. <br /> <br />On motion, of Mr.H.T.Goyne, seconded by Ivtr.J.C.McKes30n, it is resolved that the <br />Executive Secretary be and he hereby is direct~d to request the Virginia . <br />Department of Highways to install "Stop and Go" signal lights at the intersection <br />of Rts. 10 and 1, and a t the intersection ofRt~. 616 and Ill. <br /> <br />On motion, of liJr. Irvin G. Horner, it is eesolved that the County Road Engineer <br />be and he hereby is requested to view .7 of a mile of the Lacy Road, which connec~s <br />Rt. 727 and Rt.6~ in Clover Hill District, and report to this Bœ.
