Gaunce, as Chef of Police of Chesterfield Connty, it would be necessary that <br />the salary be $3900.00 per year. Upon consideration whereof, a nd on motion <br />of W.A.Horner, it is r esolve~ that the s alar~ of Mt. Robert C. Gaunce, as Chief <br />of Police of Chesterfield County, be set at $3900.00 per year. <br /> <br />This day the matter of a bond posted by Mr.W.A.Horner for a water system in <br />"Chesterfield County" was considered, and the Executive Secretary stated that <br />there were sufficient number of connections in "Chesterfield Court" to guarantee <br />a gross return of 12% on the investment and there was no need of the retention <br />of the bond. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of J.G.Hening, it is <br />resolved that the Executive Secretary and the Treasurer be instructed to return to <br />~{r. Homer the bond placed by him as security for the water system in "Chesterfiel~ <br />Court". <br /> <br />This day the Executive Secretary stated that upon agreement the Board of S~pervisoUs <br />purchased a water system from Mr.O.K.Marquis and there had been held back $500.00 <br />pending a clear title to all lines to the water system and that all of these <br />matters had been straightened up and the amount of $500.00 should be paid Mr.O.K. <br />Marquis, but that this amount had not been reappropriated to this year's budget <br />and had reverted to the General Fund. Upon consideration whereof, andon <br />motion of H.T.Goyne, it is resolved that the sum of $500.00 be and it hereby is <br />appropriated from the unappropriated surplus of the General Fund to 19d- f orthe <br />settlement of the claim of Mr.O.K.Marquis for t he Cester Water System. <br /> <br />Ordered that the meeting be now adjourned until 10:00 a.m. Jantary 13, 1948. <br /> <br />'~.Xe~ut ive Secretary <br /> <br /> <br />
