of Highways will re-assign Mr. Mills to this residency. <br />Upon consideration whereof, a nd on motion of p.W.Coving~on, it is resolved t hat the <br />Virginia Deps~tment of Highways be and it hereby is respectfully requested to re- <br />assign Mr.A.J.Mills to the residency inclusive of Chesterfield County. <br /> <br />This d ay Mr.P.W.Covington stated he had a request from the janitor of the Town Hall <br />of Ettrick stating that since the Town Halloas being used for more meetings of <br />organizations there was considerably more work and requested au increase in pay. <br />Upon consideration whereof, andon motion of p.W.Covington, it is resolved that the <br />pay o f the janitor of the Municipal ~uilding in Ettrick be increased by $5.00 per <br />month. <br /> <br />This day Mr. E.J.Gormam , Game Warden for Chesterfield County, appeared before the <br />Board and stated it had been agreed bY t~he former BoarA of Supervisors of <br /> erfmeld Count that Nr.A.J.Homer, Deputy Game Warden, could be assigned to <br />Chest ' Y is had not been completed, <br /> m definite territory to be responsible for and that~h ...... <br />~deurged that some action be taken on the matter, whereupon ~ne ~oara reques~ea <br />Mr. Gorman to appear at the r e~lar meeting on April 13, at whichtime Mr. Homer <br />would be requested to be present in order to work out some solution to this matter. <br /> <br />Realizing that the matter of ~lilitary preparedness is of vital impotence, affecting <br />the life of these United States of America at the present tim~ and is an issue <br />pending be*ore Congress of these United States, ThereEore, be it resolved on moti°~ <br />~f H.T.Go~e, that this Beard of Supervisors of Chesterfield County, Virginia, <br />doth have it made a record of this Board and that we do request the members in <br />the Congress that they use their best effortm to ~ave adopted by the Congress <br />Universal Military Training. This motion died for the want of a second. <br /> <br />Ordered that the meeting be now adjourned until 10:O0 a.m. April 13, 1948. <br /> <br /> <br />
