Pomeroy and ~ir. I~toucine of theState Plaything Bosrd met with the Board of Supervisors, and ~,ir. Eavee Norris, Cha~irman of the ~onin~ Co~uission of Chesterfield County presented to the Bo~rd an Ordinance and maps prepareG by the Zoning Commission after a careful study of two ~nd one-half years, which constituted the final report of the ~oning Commission to the Board of Supervisors Upon consider~tion ~'~hereof and on motion of T.D.~,atkins, it is resolved that the ~oning Ordinance and maps, being the final raport of the Loning Commission, be, and the same hereby are received and the Board expressed its appreci~tion and thanks to the ~oning Co~isslon for their efforts in this matter. This day the matter of ~ppropriating $500.00 from the Dog Tax Fund for the purchzse and distribution of quail in Chesterfield ~ounty was brought before the Board. Upon consideration whereof a~nd on motion of H. T. Ooyne, it is resolved that the s~n~ of $~00.00 be and it hereby is appropriated from the un- appropriated sirplus of the Dog Tax Fund fo~' the purchase of quail for liberation in Chesterfields. County at a later date. This Gay the Executive Secretary present~d to t~e Board a deed from the Woodstock Rome and Land Co~pany, Inc. tothe County of Chested'field for certain land to be used for the housin~ of the ~ounty water works in the ~oodstock Subdivision and for use as a public park, together with a check for ~1050.00, being the advanced payment for thirty (30) water conn~ctions to the County ~ater system which should be returned to the Wood~tock ~o~e ~nd Lan~ Company upon receipt from owners making connections to the ~oodstock ~tor ~yntc~a, who h~vo purchased their lot in the area served by the water system after Ja~uary l, 1942. Upon consideration ~hereof and on motion of T. D.~atkins, it is resolved that the deed and chock be received and that the ~xecutive Sec~.etary be instructed to record the deed. This day the Executive Secretary read to the Boa:'a of ~upervisors a letter fro~: ~.[r. ~. W. binns, Project l~ia~z. Eer, Office ~ivlsion ~gir~cer, South ~tlantic Division, Richmond, statin~i~ theft in constructing the ~-iolding and Reconsign- ment Depot and the Ric~r~ond Ge~er~l Depot the government had built a railrosd fill which had encroached upon an ~lley in the R~ayon Park Subdivision, and requested perz~ission to close this alley. Upon consideration ~vhereof and on motion of H.T.Goyne, it is resolved that the Executive Secret~y be and he hereby is inst]~ucted to inform ~. Binns that so far as the Board's ri~hts extend in this ~atter that v:e are glad to relinquish any claim they ~ight have on this alley. This day the matter of the payment of $2.30 to R.F.Jones, Colored Farm Agent, from the Revolving Fu:~d set up to the account of P. Rixey Jones, Co. Agri. ~ent, was s~gain brought before the Board, and no action being taken it was deferred to the next regular ~eetin~ of the Board of Supervisors. This day the Executive Secretary reported thnt in accordance vJith instructions at a former meeting he had arr~nged.a settlement with ~,~.W.G. Lipscomb for the right of way scross the property of ~dr. Lipscomb for Cherry Lane, and thor the deed had been secured and r~corded to this right of ~;ay, and theft tt~e sum of SZ00.00, should be appropriated to the account of "Ri~hts -of-way" to cover the payment of this amount. Upon conside~,ation whereof and on ~otion of T.D.~atkins, it is re~olved th~:% the sumof $300.00 be and it hereby is appropriated from the unappropriated surplus of the General Fund to the "Purchase of Rights-of-way", budgetary code 19-6b0a.
