L. Chalkley, Chairman <br />J. G. Hening <br />W. A. Horner <br />H. T. Goyne <br />P. W. Covington <br /> <br />Absent: T. D. Watkins <br /> <br />This day another public hearing was held on the proposed Zoning Ordinance for <br />Chesterfield County. Interested citizens appearing and entering into the <br />discussion of this Ordinance were: Mr. J. T. Moore, }~. A. T.Curtis, h'M. John <br />C. Harris, and Mr. Wm. 01d. <br /> <br />This day the Executive Secretary stated that he had a prospective purchaser for a <br />deep well pump now out of use owned by the County, and requested the instructions <br />of the Board in this matter. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion <br />of H. T. Goyne, the Executive Secretary is instructed to sell this pump for a <br />sum not less than $75.00. <br /> <br />There being insufficient amounts in certain budgetary accounts to take care <br />of certain bills for the fiscal year 1942-'43, the Executive Secretary requested <br />the transfer from the Unappropriated Surplus of the General Fund, sufficient <br />amounts to cover these accounts. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of <br />J. G. Hening, the Treasurer is hereby instructed to transfer from the Unappropria~ <br />Surplus of the General Fund, to the following budgetary codifications the <br />following amounts: <br /> <br />Reproduction of Plats - 4a - 215 <br />Police Travel - 6a - 220 <br />Surveys, etc. -18 - 319 <br /> <br />$195.80 <br /> 590.00 <br /> 373.50 <br /> <br />There being insufficient funds in the Dog Tax ~'und to take care of certain <br />outstanding bills, it is resolved on motion of J.G. Hening, that the Treasurer <br />be, and he hereby is requested to transfer from the unappropriated surplus of the <br />Dog Tax Fund, the following amounts to certain budgetary codifications: <br /> <br />Fowl Claims - 12 -501 <br />Livestock Claims -12-502 <br /> <br />$70.00 <br />150.00 <br /> <br />There being insufficient funds in the Ettrick Sanitary District Operating Fund <br />to take care of certain bills, it is resolved on motion of J. G. Hening, that the <br />Treasurer be and he hereby is requested to transfer from the unappropriated <br />surplus of the Ettrick Sanitary District Fund, the following a~ounts to accounts <br />as set forth: <br /> <br />Repairs and Replacements - 10d-215 <br />Purchase of ~ater - 10d-324 <br /> <br />$50.00 <br />50.00 <br /> <br />This day a Committee previously appointed to consider the advisability of the <br />County of Chesterfield accepting from the Federal Office of Civilian Defense <br />certaih fire fighting equipment for protection to certain localities in <br />Chesterfield CoUnty reported that it deemed it wise to accept such equipment, <br />and the Executive Secretary be appointed as the Property Officer to be responsibl <br />for the same. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of R. T.Goyne, <br />it is resolved that the Board of Supervisors accept from the Federal 0.C.D. such <br />fire fighting equipment as they deem necessary for Chesterfield County. <br />And be it further resolved t~m t W. H. Caldwell, Executive Secretary, be and he <br />hereby is appointed by the Board as Property Officer to receive the same. <br />And be it further resolved that the Executive Secretary be instructed to secure <br />the necessary bond required by the Federal 0.C.D. for the Property Officer in <br />this matter. <br /> <br />ed <br /> <br /> <br />
