This day Mr. H. L.Cbalkley stated to the Board that he had been requested by <br />~iss Lilla ~pivey, County Nurse, for permission to move a piano be$onging to <br />her from the Administration Building at Camp Baker. Upon consideration <br />whereof, and on motion of H.T.Goyne, the Board permits the removal of this piano <br />for the County Nurse. <br /> <br />This day Er.H.T.Goyne, called attention of the Board to the condition of an Avenue <br />in "Patterson Park" which needs attention. Upon consideration whereof, and on <br />motion of H.T.Goyne, it is resolve~ that the State Department of Highways be <br />and it hereby is requested to take into the State System First avenue im "Patterso. <br />Park", east of Rt. ~l, for .3 of a mile. <br /> <br />This day the ~,ater Committee reported to the Board that after due consideration <br />of the applicants for the position of Superintendent of Operations of water <br />systems, that they would recommend that Brandon Steed of Chester be employed <br />at a salary of ~200.00 per month and expenses. Upon consideration v~hereof, and <br />on motion of H.T.Goyne, it is resolved that this Board empower the Executive <br />Secretary to employ Brandon Steed as Superintendent of operations of water <br />systems of Chesterfield County at a salary of $200.00 per month and traveling <br />expenses. <br />And be it further resolved that the Executive Secretary be and he hereby is <br />empowered to employ a clerk for the Utilities ~epartment at a salary not to <br />exceed ~125.00 per month. <br /> <br />This day the matter of closing the offices of Chesterfield County on Saturdays <br />was brought before the Board and after considerable discussion it was d&clded <br />to hold this matter over for consideration at a later meeting. <br /> <br />Ordered that the meeting be no~ adjourned until 10:00 a.m. July 9, 1946. <br /> <br />" "Execu rive Secretary <br /> <br />ohairman j <br /> <br /> <br />
