Lost Ta~s - A duplicate plate shall be issued upon affidavit of the applicant ~hat the ,ori~inal tag has been lost, at a cost of fifty ~ents. 8, ._E~emption - Nothing in this Ordinance shallbe construed to require a license tax of a person, fir~ or oorpgration exempted under provision of the State Statute, 9o Penalty - It s~allbe unlawful to violate any provisions of this Ordinance and every person who violates any provision of this Ordirmnce shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shallbe punished by a fine of not less than Five Dollars ($5o00) nor more than Three Hundred Dollars ($~00o00)~ and trial of all violators of this Ordinance shallbe forced by prOCeeding, before the County Court of Chesterfield County in the m~nner and ~i~ like right of appeal as is provided in misdemeanor cases. Police po~ers are ,hereby conferred upon the License Inspector, ~hile engaged in perfgrming his duties under the provisions of this Ordinance and he shallex~rois® all the powers and authority of police officers in performing these duties. The License Inspector may have a' summons or warrant of arrest issued for any person chargin6 him ~ith a violatto~ of the Orovisions of this Ordinance and ~ay serve a copy of said summons or execute said warrant upon such person in the manner provided by law and make return thereof to the proper court as provided by law. The Police of Chesterfield County and the License Inspector are hereby authorized to issue a summons in ~riting to violators of this Ordinance for their appe~r&nce before said Court; and upon the service of said summons, the person char§ed with the offense shall give his written promise to appear at the~time and place desi~nated i~;~said su~ons. On motion of Mr. Hagerman, seconded by Mr. Goyne, it is resolved that the request of the Jehovah's ~itnesses Church for a building variance be and it hereby is denied. From and after the effective date of this resolution, no subdivision plat shall be recorded unless the approval of the Chesterfield County Plannin~ Commission shall have first bean obtained, This resolution shall take effect immediately, This day the matter of installing an 8" line on Ch, rake, Road in the Ma ssey Subdivision was discussed, and it was generally agreed that Dr. Y~ssey be notified that no policy has been established at this time for the installation of line~ larger than 6" in diameter, This day the Executive Secretary read a letter from Mr, J.B.Powell, requesting the Board,s permission to tie the water line in the Hobby Hill Farms Subdivision to the 4" line at the northern end of Westgate Drive. It was generally agreed that this letter would be taken under advisement for further study. This day the Executive Secretary read a letter from Mr.J.S.~arret, Sanitation Engineer, from the Virginia State College, requestin~ some consideration by this Board in connecting the lower college buildings with the Ettrick Sanitary Sewer System. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of Mr. Hagarman, seconded by Hr. Goyne, it is resolved that a Comm ~tee oompo ed of 14r. Hagerman, the Executive Secretary and the County Engineer, visit the College authorities to discuss this matter, This day there was road a letter from My. Ernest O~Noil requesting, the Board to state some idea as to when the water and sewer lines would be installed in the Ettrtck Sanitary District. ~t was generally agreed that Mr. 0~Neil be informed that the work of these lines ir progressing as fast as possible, On motioo of Mr. Britton, seconded by Mr.Driskill, it is resolved that the Treasurer of the County be and he hereby is requested to transfer $63~,2~ from the unexpanded surplus of the County's General Fund to ~tem 19-400, The matter of decal, for the County was discussed, and it ~as ~enerally agreed that two additional sketches be prepared for the Board~s consideration.
