Mr. Warren called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
Mr. Warren welcomed Congressmen Forbes and Boozman to
Chesterfield County. He shared accolades and other positive
aspects of Chesterfield with the Congressmen and then
introduced the Board members in attendance.
Mr. Stegmaier introduced members of the staff present.
Congressman Forbes commented about the strong relationships
between himself and his office with the county.
Congressman Boozman from Arkansas, the ranking member of the
House of Representatives Committee on Water Resources and
Environment, made comments about his visit to Congressman
Forbes' district and the value of the input from the county
about transportation needs and issues.
Mr. Stegmaier thanked Congressman Forbes for his efforts on
behalf of Chesterfield County and reiterated our appreciation
of his commitment to the county. He presented information
relating to the existing road needs in the county. He
provided an explanation of where the shortfalls arise and the

county's creative ways of increasing road funding over the
years. He discussed priority road projects for the county,
such as Route 10 widening, Routes 60 and 360 widening
projects, Centralia Road improvements and the economic
development potential of the projects with the expansion at
Ft. Lee. He provided an explanation of the Meadowville
Interchange project and how vital it is to growing the
county's economy and bringing manufacturing jobs back to the
region. He thanked Congressman Forbes for his past assistance
and suggested additional federal funds are needed for this
project .
Mr. Johnson provided a brief explanation of the Chesterfield
Airport and requested assistance with the Automated Weather
Observatory System.
It was generally agreed that the Board recess until 3:00 p.m.
