He st~ed they felt their resouro~s provided sufficient d~ta which woul~ sugge~ a solution to thi~ stzte~ there were approximately 3,000 reside~ts of the resources to help with this problem. ~r, D~niel stated he wms ~lso concerned with this issue but suggested the date of July 8~ 198I to which this matter be defe~od as he would be out of ~own On June 2d, 1981. ~r. 0'Brien stated that would Da~i~l~ the Board deferred discussion of leaf burning ia Chesterfield County unzil July S, 1981~ Mr. Frank Gee, Resident Engineer with ire Virginia Department of Highways and Transporta~ion~ was present to discuss the proposed 1981-82 Secondary Road Improvement Budget. He stated that the County would be receiving 60~ of the 1980-81 ~llecation which i~ appr0ximat~ly $1,~,000. He stated this figure was provided by the Secondary Roads Division. ~r_ Gee reviewed the status of projects completed, their deficits and the pFoposed method of ellminzting th~ deficits by utilizing the Beach and ~ash Road alloem~i0ns, He stated the deficita should be eliminated this year. It was suggested that the deficit not he paid thfs year hut paid over a period of years. ~r. Hedrick st~ted that by doing this, the ps,icy of the Highway Department which hss b~en to bid proJect~ if there exists 70~ of the funding could be ohaage~ and the Department could require tOO~ of the funding to be available. 81-198 b~r. The method of financing the deficits; and available. The Board indicated their dissatisfaction with the allocation budget, seconded by ~r.
