Apperson, seconded by Mr _Krapela, it is resolved that the Right-oP-Way Department be authorized to purchase the Sinclair proper rty involving soma 62 0 7 acres i--or the Proctors Creek sewerage plant site. And be it fur trier resolved, trier the Judges of Circuit Court be l requested to appoint counsel to examine the title of said property. Ayes: Mr. Horner, iir. Myers, Nir. Apperson and Mr.Krepela. On motion of Ilr. Apperson,seconded by Mr.Krepela it is resolved that a contract for the force main into the City of Richmond and owned by the County of Chesterfield, along the Pocoshock Creek to be used by the CGMMUNITY METHODS, INC. as a gravity sewer, be and it hereby is approved on the advice of the County Engineer. Ayes: sir. Horner, Mr. Myers, Mr. Apperson and Mr.Krepela. On motion of Mr.Krepela, seconded by Mr.Apperson, it is resolved that Change Order No. 3 on contract 7032-1 with the G.L.Howard Company in the amount of `516,149.00 be and it hereby is approved. Ayes: Ivir.Horner, 1-ir. i,iyers, Mr.Apperson and Mr. Krepela. On motion of Mr. Krepela seconded by Mr. Myers, it is resolved that a 120-day extension of time be awarded to R.A. Chakles and f,ssocia.tesq on sew;-�r contract 7032-3 and 7032-lB, due to extenuating circumstances. Ayes: I,'r.Horner, Mr. Myers, Mr. Apperson and Mr.Krepela. On motion of 1«:r.horner, seconded by Mr. Apperson, it is resolved thF:;t the County's sewer consultants be authorized to study the proposed relocation of sewer mains at the intersection of Belmont and Chappenham to accommodate the new interchange to be constructed at this location. Ayes: Mr.Horner, Mr. !dyers, Mr. Apperson and Mr. Krepela. On motion of Mr. Apperson,seconded by Mr.Iviyers, it is resolved that this 6oar.d authorize the purchase of a trencher and back -hoe combination from the Case Power and Equipment Company for $15,563.00. Ayes: Mr.Horner, Mr. Myers, Nir. hpperson and Mr.Krepela. On motion of I,-ir.Krepela, seconded by iir. Myers, it is resolved that the salary of Emil S.Young be continued through September 129 1973 and an assessment at that time will be made of the prognosis of his return to work. Ayes: Mr. Horner, ,r. On motion of Mr. i`.yers, seconded by Mr.Krepela, it is resolved that the Virginia Department of Highways be requested to take into the Secondary System, the roads in Parkwood and Lakewood Farms, Section "B s; . O'Neill,seconded by F;r.Krepela, it is resolved that the County Administrator be authorized to apply for $5974.80 in Federal and State Grants to pay for dictating equipment for the Police Department. O'Neill, seconded by Fir.Krepela, it is resolved that the County Administrator be authorized to apply for $8650.00 in Federal and State Grants to pay for a Power Card File System in the Police Department. O'Neill There arose a general discussion concerning the progress of the Airport construction and the County Administrator cited that a meeting would be held with Fir. Hendrick the owner of the construction company during the coming week. The problems of the contractor and the County were reviewed in detail and it was generally conceded that a solution to the problem of completing the Airport construction be accelerated. On motion of Mr.Krepela, seconded by Mr. O'Neill, it is resolved that this Board adjourn at 11:15 p.m. to9:00 a.m. on September 12, 1973. Ayes: Mr. Horner, Mr. Myers, Pir.
