Bruce stated he is a'real estate broker and resident because he felt it would eliminate future billboard business competition and~ therefore, is opposed t~ the p~oposed ordinance in it~ ~ntir~ty. Mr. Currln stated he felt tho billboard industry was a free enterprise system and, therefore, did not agree ~ith the oep. ~e further ~tated he has a ¢onstituen= who has a billboard On Route 10 in the flood pla~ whos~ permit hmd emu~ired, was in Violation of the Zoning Ordinance, and would b~ve to remove the billboard. Ee stated the constituent's property was all flood plain and the billboard ~as the only income he had to pay his taxes. Ke requested the Board to consider amending the ordinance to allow the billboard to remain i~ the flood plaln if the constituent could obtain the proper znn~ng or condi=ional use.
