F~. Hasden outlined ~he history an~ ~tructure of Human
Services functions and =heir relationship to State and
gov~rnm~nt~ a~ w~ll a~ v~rio~ professional licensing
agencies. Ee presented an overview on ~e functions cf ~e
federal and local sources; ~ritical issues fa~ing
Depar~en% such as medicaid reimb~sement from eligible
candidates; ~ increased ~ber o~ m~dioally i~digent; and
~e need for public health nurses for new school facilities.
He reviewed the Parks and Recreation Department and its major
responsibilities; the critical issues facing the
athletics; the proposed activation of a $~ per participant fee
for youth and adult a~letic groups to help offset Department
available facilitie~ wi~in the Parks and Recreation System.
He further reviewed the Library ~yst~m and critical issues
facing the symtem ~ueh a~ circulation %~panding at
Central Branch Libra~, the Bon Ai~ B~anoh L~b~ary, ~e Enon
Branch Libra~, th~ W~$t ~ranch ~ibrary and th~ Mi~lothlan
