COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR’S COMMENTS
?
Mr. Stegmaier, along with Mr. Will Davis and Ms. Karen Aylward announced that The
Virginia Chamber of Commerce presented its annual "Torchbearer Awards" at a
conference in Williamsburg earlier this month, which are presented for projects/programs
that provide significant impact on business in each congressional district. Chesterfield
was a finalist for the Sabra Project and a winner for the “Business First” program.

Mr. Mike Golden and Ms. Lynn Crump updated the Board on the Appomattox Scenic
River Designation.

Ms. Liz Nixon recognized the Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department for their
contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Ms. Sherrie Brach recognized county employees for their contributions to the United
Way of Greater Richmond.

Captain Steve Neal updated the Board on animal welfare in the county.
