He further stated that Petfix 1997 involved eighteen humane associations and thirty and cats were spayed and neutered. He stated that since 1996, over 4,100 cate and dogs were spayed and neutered, Ne briefly reviewed the coalition's financial report and presented a copy of the report to each Qf the Board members. Mr. Ramsey stated that he and Mr. Kappel repzesented chesterfield County a~ the Virginza Municipel League and presented tko Award tu Lbs Board. Me recognized the support uf the citizenm towards the County's School System when 83.3 peroant of the population ~upporte~ $174~8 million for School System in 5he last bond referendum -- with 6~ percent of that population having no ~chool age children. He expressed appreciation to the VML for bringing thf~ ty~Je of honor to Chesterfield County. Mr. Eanes stated that it was an honor to supper5 the entire Kappel recently met with a representative from the Country of India, who ar~ sponsoring their first bond referendum for regarding its bond referendum. 3. H~ stated that staff has now developed ~n option which would move both tho utart and the end of the process 55 days. He further sta~ed %h~ thi~ og~ion would add 15 days to the time which staff can devote to the reassessment process, re~ulting in mn ~ncreese in staff productivity and ~ality o~ Mr. McHale clarified [hal ssaff's recommendation !~ that the period for citizens to appeal tQ ~he Assessor will remain its current ~5 days and only the beginnin~ ~nd endin~ dates the pruce~ would be chan~ed.
