R.Treat, District Engineer, Virginia Departmen~ il of Highways, concerning the request of the County to change the plan for channeli-!i i~ zation for traffic at Rt. i and Rt. 608, which letter states that he is forwarding Ii the County's request to the Director of Planning in the Highway Department. ii On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Goyne, it is resolved that this Board · approves the request of the School,Board passed on February 22, 1967 and guaranteeSi iipurchased funds in the for amount the School of $127,63~.22Board. so that twenty-two (22) new school buses may bei! ii On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Goyne, it is resolved that the report ii on the Jail inspection be received and filed with the papers of this Board. ~ On motiOn of Mr. Browning, seconded by Mr. Go]me, it is resolved that this Board i! receive the request of the Chesterfield Farm Bureau and notify said organization ii that the next open meeting of the Board of ~upervisors is March 8, 1967, at which time the Board will be glad to discuss with them any views that they may have relative to the assessment of farm machinery. On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Browning, it is resolved that this ii Board re-appoints Mr. Zane Grey Davis for a term of three (3) years to the Regional! ii Planning Commission which term will begin on January 25, 1967. !1 At the request of the Utili6y Committee and on Motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by Mr. Browning, it is resolved that this Board authorizes the County Engineer to ii prepare and have signed a contract for the installation of a sixteen inch (16"I ~ water line from Rt. 360 to Providence Road, through the properties of Chandler !i LaPrade & others. i Upon ~h~ ~ec~mme~dati~n of the Utility Committee and on motion of Mr. Martin, seconaea Dy lvlr. Sritton, it is resolved that this Board request the Count{ Enginee~ to prepare and have signed a contract for constructing a sixteen inch (16 } water line from Robious Road to the Englewood Subdivision via the general vicinity of Mt. Nebo Road Upon recommendation of the Utility Committee and on motxon of Mr. Britton, seconde i by Mr. Goyne, it is resolved that the County Engineer be authorized to install a sixteen inch (16") water line from the Elkhardt Road to the Providence Road through the properties of the Chesterfield County School Board. Upon the recommendation of the Utility Committee and on motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by ~r. Browning, it is resolved that the work of completing a storm drainage system in the Hollandale area, and specifically that portion nOrth and south of Bryce's Lane be awarded to the Luck Construction Company for installation On motion of Mr. ApDerson, seconded by Mr. Goyne, it is resolved that the salary of Miss Cecile Yea~s, who works in Data Processing for the Utility Department be raised from $3600.00 to $3912.00~effective March 1 1967. On motion of RIr. Britton, seconded by Mr. Apperson, it is resolved that the County pay the co st of running water on Stratton Road a short distance to a house being constructed by Mr. Robert Underwood. On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by ~4r. Britton, it is resolved that this Boardil approves the proposed location of the School Administration Building. On motion of Mr. Browning, seconded by ~4r. Britton, it is resolved that this Board~ receive the request of the Board of Zoning Appeals and refers same to the Budget Committee. The County Engineer presented a brief study of the cost of alternates in getting a water line from Ettrick north along Route #1 to Route #10, which estimates involve various alternates and combination of Authority money and County bond mone~. No action was taken on this matter. S. Craigie & Co., Inc. and Associates, for the aforesaid $650,000.00 sewer bonds maturing March l, 1969 to 1977, both inclusive, at 6 per centum, $7,850,OOOsewer bonds maturing March l, 197 to 1995, both inclusive, at 3.60 per cen~um, plus a premium of Two Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-five and O0/lO0 Dollars ($2,465.00), at an effective interest rate of 3,6591 per centum, the aggregate amount of interest upon all of the bonds of the issue from their date until their respective maturities after deducting the premium being Six Million Three Hundred Eighty-one Thousand Five Hundred ThirtY- five Dollars ($6,281,535.O0), is hereby accepted, and the $8,500,000 sewer bonds of Chesterfield County, Virginia, dated March 1, 1967, are hereby awarded %0 Phelps interest in accordance with the terms of ~aid bid~ a certified copy of which bid is hereto antached, which is an effective rat~ of 3~6591 per centum.
