Stegmaier Summary of Actions Taken by the Board on March 28, 2012 3:00 P.M. SESSION COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR’S COMMENTS ? Mr. Mike Golden presented an update on recent large tournaments held in the area that have had a positive impact on sports tourism and business in the county. ? Mr. Stegmaier announced that the first components of Chesterfield County’s new Comprehensive Plan, The Plan for Chesterfield 2035, have been posted to the county’s website for public review and comment. ? Mr. Stegmaier was pleased to report that The Children’s Museum of Richmond signed a five-year lease on March 16, 2012, for a 26,000-square-foot satellite location in the Winterpock Crossing Shopping Center on Hull Street Road. RESOLUTIONS Adopted Resolution recognizing the late Danny Lee Parnell for his service to Chesterfield County. Adopted Resolution recognizing April 22-28, 2012, as “Administrative Professionals Week.” Adopted Resolution recognizing March 2012 as “Sports Tourism Month” in Chesterfield County. WORK SESSIONS A Work Session was held regarding the County Administrator’s proposed FY2013 budget, the proposed FY2013 Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships Annual Plan, the proposed FY2013-FY2017 Capital Improvement Program, and Utilities ordinance changes. 1 NEW BUSINESS Adopted Ordinance amendments relating to Department of Utilities fee changes. Adopted Ordinance establishing the annual tax levy on various classes of real estate and personal property, including a $0.95 real estate tax. Adopted The FY2013 Community Development Block Grant Program and the HOME Investment Partnerships Annual Plan. Adopted The FY2013-FY2017 Capital Improvement Program. Adopted The FY2013-FY2014 Biennial Financial Plan. Adopted Resolution appropriating funds for FY2013 and approval of resolution for FY2014. CONSENT ITEMS Resolution recognizing the late Thomas K. McLaughlin, Jr. for his Adopted service to Henricus Historical Park and Chesterfield County as the reconstructed 1611 Citie of Henricus Honorary Town Architect. Resolution recognizing April 8-14, 2012, as “National Public Safety Adopted Telecommunications Week” in Chesterfield County. Adopted Resolution recognizing Mr. Kenneth W. Young, Emergency Communications Center, upon his retirement. Adopted Resolution supporting legislation to expand the Petersburg National Battlefield Park Boundary. Adopted Resolution recognizing the sixtieth anniversary of Richmond Christian School. Approved Award of requirements contracts for professional engineering services. Approved Public hearing date of April 25, 2012, to consider proposed adjustments to Planning Department fees. Approved Public hearing date of April 25, 2012, to consider modification of the existing “No Through Truck Traffic Restriction” on Courthouse Road from Hull Street to Ironbridge Road. Approved State road acceptance of roads in Collington Section 10. Approved Request for music/entertainment permit from the Chesterfield County Fair Association. 2 Approved Request for music/entertainment permit for Reithoffer Shows, Incorporated to conduct a carnival at the Jefferson Davis Flea Market. Approved Request for permission from James T. Yandle and Janet M. Yandle for a fence to encroach within a sixteen-foot drainage and access easement across Lot 33, Bermuda Orchard, Section Two. Approved Request for permission from Judy Everson and Nathan J. Everson, Sr. for a shed on a concrete slab to encroach within an eight-foot easement across Lot 16, Arbor Meadows, Section Two. Approved Request for permission from Vernon E. LaPrade, Jr. and Barbara S. LaPrade to install private water services within private easements to serve properties on Iron Bridge Road. Approved Request to quitclaim water, sewer and drainage easements across the property of Kroger Limited Partnership I.
