Mobile Home ReportMOBILE HOME REPORT The Board of Supervisors of the County of Chesterfield, on November 23, 1983, beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the County Board Room at Chesterfield Courthouse, Virginia, will take under consideration the granting of Mobile Home Permits on the parcels of land described herein. It shall be the policy of the Board of Supervisors that approval of a mobile home permit to park a mobile home on a parcel of land shmll be subject to com- pliance with the following standard conditions: J 0 The applicant shall be the owner and occupant of the mobile home. No lot or parcel may be rented or leased for use as a mobile home site, nor shall any mobile home be used for rental property. Only one (1) mo- bile home shall be permitted to be parked on an individual lot or parcel. The minimum lot size, yard setbacks, required front yard, and other zoning requirements of the applicable zoning district shall be complied with, except that no mobile home shall be located closer than 20 feet to any existing residence. No additional permanent-type living space may be added onto a mobile home. All mobile homes shall be skirted but shall not be placed on a permanent foundation. ~ Where public (County) water and/or sewer are available they shall be used. ' Upon being granted a Mobile Home Permit, the applicant shall then obtain the necessary permits from the Office of the Building Official. This shall be done prior to the installation or relocation of the mobile home. Any violation of the above conditions shall be grounds for revocation of the Mobile Home Permit. 83SR191: BETTY STEPHENSON Dale Magisterial District Tax Map 66-1 (3) Ampthill Gardens, Section 2, Lot 48 and better known as 6515 Hill Road (Sheet 22). The applicant requests renewal of a Mobile Home Permit to park a mobile home on property which she owns. The Health Department reports no environmental health hazard in existence. Adjacent property owners state no objection to this request, which is for five (5) years. The applicant requests renewal of a Mobile Home Permit to park a mobile home on property which he owns. The Health Department reports no environmental health hazard in existence. Adjacent property owners state no objection to this request, which is for five (5) years. Permits issued: 1964, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1974, 1976 and 1978. STAFF RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS REQUEST, subject to standard conditions through 7, as listed above. 83S197: WILLIAM D. SANDY Bermuda Magisterial District Tax Map 116-2 (1) Parcel 25 and better known as 12030 Jefferson Davis Highway (Sheet 32). The applicant requests a Mobile Home Permit to park a mobile home on property which belongs to J. Alexander, employer of the applicant. The Health Depart- ment reports no environmental health hazard in existence. One adjacent property owner (E. Belvin) has not signed this request, which is for five (5) years. Staff finds there are several mobile homes and mobile home parks located within one-half mile of this property. Homes in the general area 3 ll/23/83/BSNOV3/Z of this request are in the $35,000 price range. This request appears to be in character with the neighborhood. This request is located in an area designed for commercial use. Adjacent prop- erty is zoned Business (B-2 and B-3). Development in this area gives this area a stable commercial character. Because of present development in this area, Staff believes that the Board should advise the applicant to look upon this request as a temporary dwelling and, if approved, it may or may not necessarily be renewed.
