NOTARY (PAGE 5) · Im ritan ]/. gion ETTRICK POST NO. 136 £ttrick, ~irginia 23803 September 6, 1971 The Board of Supervisors Chesterfield County Chesterfield, Virginia Gentlemen: At the regular meeting of Ettrick Post 136, American Legion, Ettrick, Virginia on September 2, 1971 the following resolution was unamiously adopted: In that the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County will, on Wednesday, 8 September 1971 take under consideration the rezoning in Matoaca Magisterial District a request for rezoning from Residential R-2 to IndUstrial M of a parcel of land of triangular shape fronting approximately 1250 feet on the SCL RE right-of-way and extending southeastwardly to a depth of approximately 800 feet, being located approximately 630 feet southwest of the intersectien of the right-of-way and Chesterfield Avenue-- BE IT RESOLVED that the membership of Ettrick Post No. 136, American Legion, Ettrick, Virginia at its meeting on September 2, 1971 requests that the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County deny such request for rezoning and the Adjutant of the Post notify the Board in writing prior to their meeting on Sept ember 8, 1971. Rezoning of the property adjacent to the property now owned by Ettrick Post 136, American Legion will cause the Legion property to ~e greatly depreciated in value and will also interfere with the tranquil setting of this land~urthermore destroy any proposed plans the Legion Post desires to make of this land.
