Planning Director
Dear Sirs:
September 9, 1970, I appeared before the board
for an application for a Use Permit allowing me to Baby Sit
at the residence of Mrs. N.K. Shepperson. The Board granted
me this permit for one year. I would like to ask again for
such a permit.
Mrs. Shepperson must work and I keep her children,
getting them off to school and being there when they return.
In exchange for this service, Mrs Shepperson has again given
me permission to ask for another permit and to use her home
again, to ~ick up extra baby sitting while her children are
in school.
I have contacted the following residence as I did
last year.
1. ~. P. Simmons, 2317 ~oodmont Drive (back)
2. J. A. Wilson, 2309 Woodmont Drive (back)
3. Milbu~n Devenney, 2300 Schenley D~we (Side)
4. Mrs. Hazel Bell, 2316 Schenley Drive (side)
5. M. D. Balderson, 2309 Schenley Drive (front)
6. J. L. Hughes, 2301 Schenley Drive (front)
Mrs. Shepperson lives at 2308 Schenley Drive
in Midlothian Magisterial District. Refer to Sec. 9-10
and ll (6) Block X Lot 8. I have at no time advertised
this service by the use of signs on the property.
I am sending my personal check in the amount
of Twenty Dollars (20.00) to cover this permit. Thanking
you in advance for any consideration shown me in this matter.
Yours truly
Gladys Ke~ner
TO THE BOA,qD OF CHESTERPIELD SUPERVISORS,
~}~ I ¥,~ANT t PEiD~.IT TO BABY SiT.
i am askin~ for p~rmission for a Use Permit to baby sit
because of my sincere love for children and for the good
feeling I have in knowing th:~t I s~.'~ helping mothers whe need
help. A mother cannot find a baby sitter during the school
year for two or three hours as all children old enough to sit
are in school, and adults .'ho do baby ~itting for a llvin~
want a days work, not just a couple of hours.
Any pre-kindergarden children tha2 I sit fer will be kept busy
in a ~ay they love and muderstand. I do not furnish anything
for these children except tender love and good care.
