VIRGINIA: At an adjourned meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County, held at the Courthouse on November 17, 1975~ at 7130 p~m. Absent: Mr. Irvin G. Horner Mr. A. J. Krepela There being a quorum of the Board~ the meeting is called to order by Mr. Leo Myers. Chief Robert £anes presents Chief Bowen who makes the following requests which are in his order of priority~ i. A fire alarm supervisor that would cost approximately $10,000; $i,000 for each fire department and cites how each department can use at least this amoutn of money, He states further that this was cut out of the budget of the current ye'ar) A brush truck for Clover Hill which was cut out of the budget. He cites excessive costs of keeping the old 1955 Dodge~power truck in operation; 4. A brush utility truck for Manchester; 5. Miscellaneous needs for each fire department with the exception of Wagstaff Circle; 6. The need for a training building to replace the present inoperative building; 7, Recording equipment at the Fire Alarm Center; and 8. Radio repair problems were reviewed with each fire station. Mr. Myron Helms and Mr. Lee Falwell explain generally the problems in maintenance~ all of which seem to be working better now than formerly. Chief Meade Conyers of the Chester Fire Department requests three additional fire fighters and gives reasons for this request. Chief Charles Williams of Ettrick requests additional paid men for Ettrick and cites reasons why this is necessary. Other matters were discussed by the Fire Committee who will make a report to the full Board on November 26th. It is generally agreed that this meeting will be adjourned at 12:15 a.m. to S:00 p.m, on November 19~ 1975~ urnett, Secretary " . o
