Krepela VIRGINIA: At an adjourned meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Chester- field County, held at the Courthouse on December 4, 1975, at 8:00 p.m. Also Present: Mr. Raymond Birdsong, Asst. Co, Eng. Mr. Leslie Brooks, Water Superintendent Mr. Mac Davis, Ettrick Sanitary Committee Mr, Peyton Goodall, Ettrick Sanitary Committee Mr. C. G. Manuel, Asst. Co. Admin. Mr. Morris Mason, County Attorney Mr. Robert Painter, County Engineer Mr? Charles Quaiff, Supt. of Accounts and Records Mr, David Welchons, Asst. Co, Eng. Mr. B. E. Woodruff, Ettrick Sanitary Committee The meeting is called to order to discuss the utility situation in the Sanitary District of Ettrick. Mr. Welchons presents estimates to repair the sewer system which will cost up to $1,300,000. Mr. Birdsong presents an estimate of necessary repairs to the water system which would cost $245,000. Mr. Quaiff reviews the current charges versus revenue should the rates be raised to equal County rates and it was cited that after payment to Petersburg of the new rate for the treat- ment of sewage at a secondary level, that little money would be left to make necessary improvements. The Ettrick Sanitary Committee discusses the matter and asks the Board to raise the rates of the Sanitary District to equal those rates of the County, both in monthly charges and connection charges, Upon consideration whereof, it is on motion of Mr. O~'Neill, seconded by Mr. Apperson, resolved that at the request of the Sanitary District Committee this Board asks Mr. Morris Mason to prepare a suitable ordinance to raise all utility charges for the Ettrick Sanitary District to equal those of the general County. Ayes: Mr. Horner, Mr. Myers, Mr. Apperson and Mr. O'Neill, The Board sets December 18, 1975, at 3:00 p.m. to meet as a committee to discuss the GRTC matter. It is generally agreed that the Personnel Committee would meet on December 9, 1975, at 4:00 p.m. It is agreed that the Mental Health Committee would meet on December 18 1975 at 2:00 p.m. ' On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr, Myers, it is resolved that the Middle Distrzct Baptist Association be allowed to use the Courthouse Green and the old Courthouse Building on Sunday~ June 27, 1976, for the purpose of a memorial service to the seven imprisoned Baptist ministers held in the Chesterfield Jail in the 1770's. Ayes: Mr. Hornet, Mr. Myers and Mr. Apperson? On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr, Myers, it is resolved that this Board adjourns at 10:30 p.m. to December 10, 1975, at 9:00 a.m. Ayes: Mr. Hornet, Mr. Myers, Mr. Apperson and Mr. O'Neill.
