The meeting is called to order to discuss the utility situation in the Sanitary
District of Ettrick. Mr. Welchons presents estimates to repair the sewer system
which will cost up to $1,300,000. Mr. Birdsong presents an estimate of necessary
repairs to the water system which would cost $245,000. Mr. Quaiff reviews the
current charges versus revenue should the rates be raised to equal County rates
and it was cited that after payment to Petersburg of the new rate for the treat-
ment of sewage at a secondary level, that little money would be left to make
necessary improvements.
The Ettrick Sanitary Committee discusses the matter and asks the Board to raise
the rates of the Sanitary District to equal those rates of the County, both in
monthly charges and connection charges,
Upon consideration whereof, it is on motion of Mr. O~'Neill, seconded by Mr.
