12-04-1972 Minutes160 VIRGINIA: At an adjourned meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County, held at the Courthouse on December 4, 1972 at 4:00 P.M. Present: Mr. Irvin G. Horner, Chairman Mr. Leo Myers, Vice-Chairman Mr. J. Ruffin Apperson Mr. A. J. Krepela Mr. Meriin O'Neill Also Present: Mr. Oliver D. Rudy, Comm. Atty. Kr. Morris Mason, Asst. Comm. Atty. Mr. M. W, Burnett, Exec. Sec'y. Mr. Robt. A. Painter, Co. Eng. Mr. Michael Ritz, Co. Planner The meeting was called to order and Mr. David Satterfield and his Assistants Mr. John Taylor and Mr. Speck Campen were introduced. Mr. Fred Gray, Mr. Geercje Genes and Mr. Alex McMurtrie are present. The Chairman discusses the hSstory of the proposed Craigi. e Plan of putting a new route 95 east of the present location and explains the disadvantages to the County of such a road. The Executive Secretary explains the proposed route .east of Route 95 tying in with 1-85 to the South. Mr. Satterfield states that he will clear up the few points which seem to be in question and will arrange a meeting for the County with the Bureau of Roads in Washington to air this matter further. The Chairman explains that the County has preliminsrily hired a Consultant to check into the road matter to ascertain if a further indepth study would be beneficial.
