The meeting was called to order by the Chairman to discuss sewerage treatment
~acilities, lagoons and their capabilities, a progress of
engineering of new
~rojects and the engineering problems in certain areas.
At 7:30 P.M. the Planning Commission met with the Board to discuss the
~ossibilities of forgin~ a dry sewer or future sewer policy that would be
acceptable to all concerned.
The County Administrator described a proposal suggested by the County Engineer,
~he County Planner, the Commonwealth's Attorney, and the County Administrator,
~nd expressed the idea that the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors
should at least investigate all aspects of the problem.
general discussion was held with the consensus being that there would be no
i~mediate action on the Board's part to initiate a policy of this kind and the
P~anning Commission would continue to encourage the use of sewers but would
nbt force the issue.
motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Myers, it is resolved that this
mDeting be adjourned at 10:05 P.M. to 9:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 13, 1973.
