04-03-1974 MinutesVIRGINIA: At an adjourned meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County, held at the Courthouse on April 3, 1974, au 5:00 P.M. Present: Also Present: Mr. Irvin G. Morner, ChairmAn Mr. Leo Myers, Vice-Chairman Mr. J. Ruffin Ap~erson Mr. E. Merlin O'Neill Absent: Mr. A. J. Krepela Mr.M.W. Burnett, County Administrator C. G. Manuel, Asst. County Administrat, James R. Condrey, Dir., Central Acctg. The Board met with Mrs. Knoop and the Library Board and discussed the budget and the location of the .Library Building. at the Courthouse. On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Myers, it is resolved that this Board go into Executive Session To discuss personnel mac, ers. Ayes: Mr. Hornet, Mr. Myers, Mr. Apperson and Mr. O'Neill. Reconvening: The Board discussed with Mr. Carl Wise the budget of the Recreation Department. On motion of Mr. Myers, seconded by Mr. O'Neill, it is resolved that the following resolution be adopted: This day the County Road Engineer, in accordance with directions from this Board, made report in writing upon his examination of Omaha Street in Crescent Park in Bermuda Magisterial Ristrict. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of Mr. Myers, it is resolved that Omaha Street in Crescent Park in Bermu-da Magisterial District be and it is established as a public road. And be if further resolved, That the Virginia Department of Highways be and it hereby is requested ~o take into the Seconda. ry System, Omaha Street as a rural addition beginning at its intersection with State Route 1623 east- erly and southerly 0.12 mile to a dead end. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this subdivision was developed prior to November 15, 1959., and the County of Chesterfield has met all the provisions of Section 33-141, Subsequent sections of the 1950 Code, as amended, effective July l, 1974. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors guarantees to the Virginia Department of Highways a 50-ft. right-of=way for this road. Recorded in Plat Book 4, pages ll0 and ltl~ dated 1928. Ayes: Mr. Hornet, Mr. Myers, Mr. Apperson and Mr. O'Neill The Board considered various parms of the County Budget. On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. O'Neill, it is resolved that this Board adjourn at 10:30 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. April 4, 1974. Ayes: Mr. Horner, Mr. Myers, Mr. Apperson and Mr. O'Neill. ' M. W.
