REQUEST
Amendment to conditional use planned development (Case 13SN0517) relative to extending the
time for a gravel parking area to be permitted in a General Commercial (C-5) District. Specifically,
amendment to the Proffered Condition to provide a revised Textual Statement relative to the time a
gravel parking surface is permitted.

SUMMARY
A motor vehicle storage lot for a motor vehicle sales business exists on the request property.
Exceptions were granted in 2012, to permit temporary gravel parking for the lot for 4 years, and in
2013, with an expanded geography, for 3 years or until a building is constructed on the property.
The applicant requests an exception to permit the gravel parking lot for an additional 10 years or
until construction of any buildings on the property.

Conditional Use Planned Development ("CUPD") to permit a zoning ordinance exception, as
described below, for a C-5 General Business District zoned property known as Chesterfield County
Tax Identification Number 805-637-0272.
Volkswagen, Bermuda District, Chesterfield County, VA, Site Plan, Sheet C-
February 23, 2011, last revised July 30, 2012, and prepared by Townes Consulting
Engineers, Planners, Land Surveyors) shall be permitted on the request property
provided that the temporary gravel lot shall be paved either: (i) as part of the
construction of any building(s) on Tax ID 805-637-0272 or (ii) no later than ten (10) years
from the date of the approval of this request, whichever comes first.
