County, held at the Courthouse on
March 15, 1972 at 5:00 P.M.

Accounting
The Chairman opens the meeting which is a work session on the preparation of
the 1972-73 budget.
On motion of Mr. Krepela, seconded by Mr. O'Neill, it is resolved that Depart-
merit heads be requested to give only 5% raises at this time and 5% with the
approval of the Executive Secretary at a later date, depending on the merit
rating of the employee.
Ayes: Mr. Horner, Mr. Myers, Mr. Krepela and Mr. O'Neill
Nay: Mr. Apperson. .
On motion of Mr. O'Neill, seconded by Mr. Myers, it is resolved that~..the salary
of the Executive Secretary be raised as of January 1, 1972 to $28,944.00.
Ayes: Mr. Horner, Mr. Myers, Mr. Apperson, Mr. Krepela and Mr. O'Neill.
On motion of Mr. O'Neill, seconded by Mr. Myers, it is resolved that the
vacancies in the Ettrick Sanitary District Committee be filled by the following.
named men:
Mr. R. M. Davis - 21005 Chesterfield Avenue, Ettrick, Virginia
Mr. J. Peyton Goodall- Woodpecker Road, Ettrick, Virginia
Ayes: Mr. Hornet, Mr. Myers, Mr. Apperson, Mr. Krepela and Mr. O'Neill.
Mr. Apperson states that he wishes to express the appreciation of the Dale
Volunteer Fire Department for the new fire truck recently received, that it
will aid greatly to the work and efficiency of the Fire Department.
On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Krepela, it is resolved that this
Board adjourns at 11:50 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on March 20, 1972.
