04-14-1972 Minutesa88 VIRGINIA: At an adjourned meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County, held at the Courthouse on April 14, 1972 at 3:00 P. M. Present: Mr. Irvin G. Hornet, Chairman Mr. Leo Myers, Vice-Chairman Mr. J. Ruffin Apperson Mr. A. J. Krepela Absent: Mr. E. Merlin O'Neill Also Present: Mr. Oliver D. Rudy, Comm. Atty. Mr. John Russell Mr. M. ~. Burnett, Exec. Sec'y. Mr. Bob Williamson Mr. Robert Painter, Co. Eng. Mr. David Welchons, Asst. Co. Eng. Mr. Michael Ritz, Co. Planner Mr. Max Spencer, Health Dept. The Chairman explains the purPose of the meeting to discuss with Mr. Angus Powell, Mr. BOb Klein and Mr. Marvin Wicker, et al, the problems of getting sewerage to the Swift Creek Reservoir area. Mr. Powell explains the history of the project and the possibility of floating a Revenue Bond to finance such a program. Mr. Rudy and Mr. Jack Spain, Attorneys, both agree that a Revenue Bond would be legal. Mr. Robert Klein of Reynolds, Smith and Hill, Project Manager, gives a brief plan for the development of the first 500-acres and explains the cost involved in pumping the sewage to the Pocoshock interceptor. Mr. Max Spencer explains the necessity to have a definite commitment before the State will allow the pumping of the sewage from the Clover Hill High School. Mr. Krepela states that it will be hard to sell a bond program for a project that will not offer any benefits to the people. It was generally agreed that this matter would be discussed further at the next Utility meeting. On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. O'Neill, it is resolved that the Highway Department be requested to establish a 25-mile per hour speed limit within the Deerfield Subdivision. Ayes: Mr. Horner, Mr. Myers, ~Ir. Apperson, Mr. Krepela and Mr. O'Neill. On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Myers, it is resolved that this Board adjourns at 5:45 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. April 17, 1972. Chairman Secretary
