SESSION WORK SESSIONS A Work Session was held regarding the County Administrator’s proposed FY2018 budget, including presentations from various area of county government and schools. 6:00 P.M. SESSION The Honorable Chris Winslow, Clover Hill District Supervisor, gave the invocation. Eagle Scout Matthew Tignor led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America. REPORTS Accepted Report of Planning Commission Substantial Accord Determination for Chesterfield County Public Schools (Case 17PD0191) to permit a public elementary school (Enon Elementary School replacement) in a Residential (R-7) District. Accepted Report of Planning Commission Substantial Accord Determination for Verizon Wireless (Case 17PD0194) to permit a small cell communication facility in a General Commercial (C-5) District. Accepted Report of Planning Commission Substantial Accord Determination for Chesterfield County Department of Youth Planning and Development (Case 17PD0199) to permit a child advocacy center in a Community Business (C-3) District. COUNTY ADMINISTRATION UPDATE  Dr. Casey announced The Virginia Fire Chiefs Association recently recognized Chesterfield County Fire Chief Edward “Loy” Senter, Jr. with its highest honor, the Glenn A. Gaines Leadership Legacy Award. 1  Dr. Casey introduced Mr. Al Pace, new Assistant Director of General Services. Mr. Pace served as the Director of Defense Contract Management Agency’s Facilities and Logistics Division since 2014.  Dr. Casey announced staff members of Henricus Historical Park were recognized at nd the Virginia General Assembly on February 22 by Delegate Riley Ingram in th commemoration of the 400 anniversary of the death of the famous Pocahontas.  th Dr. Casey was pleased to report that Rockwood Nature Center ranked 6 on Best of Virginia’s Top Ten list of nature centers in the state. CITIZEN COMMENT PERIOD Ms. Adrienne Coxe expressed concerns regarding the reduction of trips relative to 64x Stony Point Express and the new proposed GRTC bus plan. She urged the county to consider sharing the route with the City of Richmond.
