Apperson, it is resolved that a Deed from the Trustees of the Matoaca Methodist Church for a parcel of land to Chesterfield County on behalf of the Matoaca Volunteer Fire Department,be,and it hereby is approved and accepted by the Board. On motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by l~lr. Martin NAYS: None WHEREAS, the above mentioned and named bids were this days received by this Board; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by ~he Board of Supervisors of Ohester- field County, Virginia: The bid submitted by F~rst National City Bank and Associates, for the aforesaid, $3,3OO~O00 school bonds maturing March l, 1965 to 1975, both inclusive, at 6 per c~tum, $2,700,000 bonds maturing March l, 1976 to 1984, both inclusive, at 3.10 per centum, the sum of Six Million~ Fifteen Thousand Eight Hundred Seven and O0/lO0 Dollars ~6, 015,807.OO), $4,200,000 sewer bonds maturing March 1,1967 to 1989, both ~nclus~ve, at 0 er centum 8 0 · '-- ~ ~'~' p , $ 0 ,000 sewer bonds maturing March l, 1990 to 1991, both inclusive, at l/lO per centum, the sum of Five RLillion & O0/lO0 Dollars ($5,000,000.00) is hereby accepted and the $6,000,000 school bonds and $5,000,000 sewer bonds of Chesterfield County, Virginia, dated March l, 196&, are hereby awarded to First National City Bank and Associates, and said bonds shall bear interest in accordance with the terms of said bid,'a certified copy of which bid is hereto attached, which is an effective rate of 3.0948 per centum. A report from Mr.L.R.Treat, District Engineer, Virginia Department of Highways, was read,~.Which report concerns the traffic study at the intersection of Berkley Street and Rt. I61 and denied the request of a traffic lisht at this intersection. On motion of Mr; Britton, seconded by Mt. Hornet, it is resolved that this Board requests the Highway Department to improve Hill Road, between Yorkshire Drive, Rt.210~, and Ro~emont Road, Rt.734, at a cost not to exceed $850.00 and charge same to the 3¢ Road Fund of the County. Mt. George Ruff in, Chief of the Chester Volunteer Fire Department comes before the Board citing the fact that the Chester Fire Department wishes to rent the Exhibition Building for dances to support the building program of said Fire Department. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of Mr.Martin, seconded by Mr. Apperson, it is resolved that the Chester Fire Department be and it hereby is granted the use of the b~ilding on February 15, 1964, and the rental price for the use thereof be set at $12.50. The proposed plans for an addition to the office building were presented and explained. On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mt.Martin, it is resolved that these plans be referred to the Buildings & Grounds Committee for study an8 recommend at ions. There was presented a proposed Ordinance change to strengthen the ~ounty's position in planning for apartments.and dwelling groups. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of Mt. Martin, seconded by Mr. Apperson, it is resolved that the proposed Ordinance changes be referred to the Ordinance Committee. On motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by Mt.Hornet, it is resolved that Water Contract No.3~2 in the Greenfield Subdivision, calling for an expenditure from the Subdivider of $17,793.00 and $7,0&0.00 from the County, be approved. On motion of Mr.Britton, seconded by Mt. Homer, it is resolved that a Special Water Contras% ~618 on Florence Avenue in Morris~ale Subdivision, in the amount of $1656.OO be and it hereby is approved. On motion of Mr.Martin, seconded by Mr. Horner, it is resolved that Mr. Leslie Brooks, %~ater Supt. be and he hereby is authorized to attend the American Water Works Association meeting in To~onto, Canada. On motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by Mr.Apperson, it is resolved that the Treasurer of the County be and he hereby is requested to transfer the sum of $60,000 from the Meter Installation Fund to the County Water Construction Fund. On motion of ~lr.Britton, seconded by Mr. Apperson, it is resolved that the Treasurer of the Cnunsy be and he hereby is requested to transfer the sum of $125,000 from the General Fund to the Sewer Bond Construction Fund. On motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by Mt. Homer, it is resolved that the Sewer contract S-6&-iOD for the installation of sewers in the subdivision of Marlboro,bg.: and it hereby is approved. On motion of Mr.Hornsr, seconded by Mr. Anperson, it is resolved that the request of Mrs. H.N.RoberSson for 20 Countymaps, be, and it here~y is deferred' for further· investigation.
