VIRGINIA: At an adjourned meeting of the
Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County
hel~ at the'Courthouse on July 18,1960,
at 7:30 p.m.
Mr.D.W.Murphey comes before the Board explaining the request of the Meadowbrook
Country Club for a water connection. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion
of Mr.Britton, seconded byMr. Driskill, it is resolved that the Club will pay for a
4" line from the property line approximately 4C0 feet, that the County will install
a 12" line to said point and make no charge for a meter connection, provided the
Club will give to the County utilities easements from the end of the 12" main
southwardly to CoEbill Road.
Er. Jerry Roberts comes before the Board recuesting permission to move two (2)
houses presently facing the Belt Boulevard ~to a 40-foot hard-surfaced roadway
now serving as the exist from the Open-Air Theatre, ~Which road may or may not be a
public right of way. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of Mr. Britton,
seconded by Nr. Drtskill, it is resolved that the Building Inspector be and he
hereby is authorized to issue building permits, provided all other County regulation~
are adhered to for the moving of two houses, from Belt Boulevard to front on the
40-foot roadway, provided ~ir. Roberts will bring a suit to establish the right of
way at no expense to the County; that Mr.William Richeson maintain.~the 40-foot road
from the Belt Boulevard to the location of the houses facing the 40-foot road
until such time as the State takes over said road, and provided egress and ingress
in the event that the Court rules there is no public right of way.
On motion of ~r. Hagerman, seconded by Mr. Driskill, it is resolved that this Board
go into Executive Session to meet with the County Planning Commission.
Reconvening:
On motion of Mr.Driskill, seconded by Mr. Britton, it is resolved that this Board
adjourn toJuly 28, ~960 at 2:00 p.m.
