Driski!l, it is resolved that the following An Ordinance adopting the revision and codification of the ordinances of a general and permanent nature of %he County of Chesterfield~ Virginia, entitled "The Code of the County of Chesterfield, Virginia", to provide for the citation o[~ such Code, to-provide rules of cpnstruction for such code and the catchlines of the sections thereof; to provide ~hat the provisions of such Code shall be construed as continuations of existing ordinances; to provide that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, and phrases of such Code shall be severable~ to provide a penalty for the violation of the provisions of such Code and the ordinances of the County and rules and regulations Dromulgated pursuant thereof, when no other penalty is specifically provided therefor; and to repeal all ordinances of a general and permanent nature not contained in such ..~ode, ~m~h certain exceptions. That the Ordinances of the County of Chesterfield, Virginia~ if a general and ~ermanen% nature, as codified in the following two volumes of chaptez, s and sections, namely Chapters 1 to 17, inclusive~ an~ section si-1 to 17-28: inclusive, are hereby adopted a~s"~he Code of ~0he County of Chester~ield, Virginia". ' Section 2. ~Fha~o such provisions of "The Code of the County of Chesterfieid, Virginia~ shall be in force and effect on and after the 9t~ day of April, 1961, and all ordinances of a gener~=t and permanent nature adopted by the Board of Supervisors on or before ~epoemoer 9, 1960, and nov contained in the pzovisions adopted by Section 1 of this Ordinance, are hereby repealed from and afy'er the 9th day of April, 1961, except as hereimfter provided. Section 3. That the repeal provide~ for in the ~receding section of this Ordinance shall not affect any offense or act committed or done or any penalty or forfeiture incurred or any contract or right established or accrusing before the 9th day of April, 1961; nor shall such repeal affect any orainance or resolution promising or guaranteeing the payment of money for the county of anthorizing the issue of any bonds of the ~ounty or any evidence of the County's indebtedness, or anv contract or obligation assumed by the County, nor shall such repeal affect ~he administrative ordinances or resolutions of the Board of Supervisors not in conflict or inconsistent with the ~>rovisions of such Code, nor shall it ~= - af.~ct the annual tax levy, nor shall it affect any right or ?ranchise conferred by ~rdinance or resolution of the Board of Supervisors on any 1, erson or co~oration; nor' shall it affect any ordinance relating to the salaries of tile C,ounty officers or employees, nar shall it affect any ordinance naming, opening, accepting, cr vacatin~j street~ or alleys in the County, nor shall it affect any prosecution, suit or o~er proceeding pending, or any judgment rendered on or 0afore t:he 9th day of f, pril, 1961, nor shall it affect any ordinance adopted on or after September 9~ i960. Britton, it is resolved that permits be granted to E.Aivin Small Funeral tome an0 J.T.i',.orris & Son for a f:eriod of one (1) year, after which time it will be necessary for driver~; ~o have finished First ~id C!~sses and carry the required First ~id Cards. A request from E, he Southside E~iergency Crew, Inc., was read rez!uesting a ~ermit to operate emergency vehicles in zheCounty and stating that said organization will compl~ with all requirements set forth in the County's Ordinance governing every operation.
