SESSION COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR'S COMMENTS Mr. Ramsey displayed the Virginia Municipal League President's Award received by Chesterfield County for its Confederate History Dialogue Project which led to the adoption of a resolution recognizing "Confederate History and Heritage Month." RESOLUTIONS AND SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS Adopted Resolution recognizing Mrs. Joan Swearengin, Utilities Department, upon her retirement. Presentation of the Joseph E. Pittman, Jr. Award for Continuous County Service to Mrs. Evelyn Price, Treasurer's Office. Adopted Resolution recognizing Rogar International as the 2001 Small Business Recipient of the Chesterfield County Business Appreciation and Recognition Award. WORK SESSIONS Ms. Mary Ann Curtin, Director of Intergovernmental Relations, presented an overview of the County's Proposed 2002 Legislative Program. NEW BUSINESS Approved Streetlight installation for Dunkirk Drive and Windward Drive Greenbriar Subdivision. in APPOINTMENTS Approved Appointment of Mr. Art Semon and Mr. Homer Garr to serve on the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Task Force. Approved Appointment of Mrs. Terry Byers to serve on the Solid Waste Advisory Committee. CONSENT ITEMS Approved Authorization for County Administrator or his designee to execute the Law Enforcement Mutual Aid Agreement with Henrico County. CLOSED SESSIONS Closed Sessions were held pursuant to Sections 2.2-3711(A)(1) and (3) of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to discuss the appointment, performance, and/or resignation of Board appointees to the Health Center Commission; and also to discuss the acquisition of real property for a public purpose where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the County. 7:00 P.M.
