On motion of Mr. Hague, seconded by Mr. Driskill, it is resolved that the Board
a~propria'te from the unexpsnded surplus of tho CountySs General Fund the sum
of $190,963e74 to tho School Fund to finance the School system through the
16th of January. 1957.
This day the Executive Secretary read a Court Order concerning tho Bond Issue
for the 5an£tary District of Ettriok, which order states that the Oourt doth
approve the issuance of bonds for the Sanitary District.
This day the Chairman presented a request from the Sanitary District of Ettrick
tohavo appointed two men to fi-11 tho unexpired terms of Mr, Roy Lafoon, and
Hr. T.R.Traylor, both of whom hove ~ignod.
Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of Mr. Hague, seconded by Mr, Hagorman
it is resolved that those requests be taken under advisement.
This day the County Engineer roper~ed that he h~,d contacted Mr. James Goodwyn,
owner of the flat robe vacated in the near futnre, which flat is 1coated over
the ~elfare Bepartment and is composed of three offices and a reception room.
Upon consideration whereof and on motion of Mr.~riski11, seconded by Mr. ~ague,
it is resolved that the Executive Secretary be and he hereby is authorized to
rent said premises for a period of twelve months at the best rate possible.
On motion of ~r. Driskill, seconded by ~r. Hague, it is resolved that the water'
contract for the subdivision of Southham in tho amount of $~275.00 be and it
hereby is approved and the Chairman and theglerk of this Board are authorized
to sign said contract.
This day the Chairman presented a letter from Mr. Richard C. L. Honcure, Arty,,
representing Mr. James ~ewan, citing certain circumstances in the matter of a
water contract for tho instaXl~tion of water in tho Ben Air Manor Subdivision.
Upon oo~sidera~ion whereof and on motion of Mr. Hague, seconded by Mr.~riski11,
it isresolved that that part of the resolut£on dated January 8, 19~?, which
pertains to the performing of work under contract I~8-A be and the same is hereb~
rescinded.
On motion of Mr. Drisktll, seconded by Mr. Hague, it ts resolved that the
Purchasing Agent be-end he herobyis requested to consult with the County Engines
and tho Commonwealth's Attorney to receive bids on four (b) overhead tanks as
soon as possible so that this work amy be programu~.
On motion of Mr. ~riskill, seconded by Mr, ttagerman, it is resolvedtthat this
Board adjourn until January 22, 1957,
