improvement of said road, and statin~ that Mr, Harold Branch had agreed to
give a new right of way for a road to serve as an e~.tran~e to Oakridce Road,
Mr, O.F,Kollam, Resident Engineer, Vt.r~inia Department of Highways, stated
that there were 8 houses on said road which covers a distanceof .Z3 of a mile
add the total cost of b~in~g said road into the ~tate Secondary System would
be $1895.00.
Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by Mr.
Driskill, it is resolved that this ~oard request the Highway Department to put
a small amount of ~ravel on the present right of way ~othat ingress and e~rees
may be effected, and charge said expense to the 3¢ Road Fund of the County.

This.day the matter of Harrowgate Road right of way came before the Board and Mr.
,C.Y.[ellam, Resident Engineer, stated that the extra right of way along said
road was still in the ~rimary Road System, and that his office would in. estimate
any complaints across said r~ght of way.

This day the Commonwealth's Attorney reported ~ha% he had negotiated with the

This day the matter of installing signs by the Highwmy Department for the purpose
of regulating speed in School zones came before the Board. Upon consideration
whereof and on motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by Mr. Driskill, it is resolved
that this Board request the School Board to notify the Highway 0apartment the
location of all' places currently being used for School purposes, sothat adequate

This day Mr. Ross Newsome, ~rea Supervisor for the Extension Service, came before
the Board, citing the Tact that County Ag~ht, R.F.Jooes, plans tot. tire March 31,

County, and recommends that ~he place be filled by Mr. Morgan J. Edwards, present]
