J.Britton Mr. H.K.~at~erman Stanley R.Ha!:ue, M~.rshall F.Driskill On motion of Mr. Driskill, seconded by Mr. Britton, it iS resolved'that this Boer( receive and file with its papers resolutions from the Woodstock Civic Association the Westover C~rden Civic Association and the J~hnke Road Womants Club, all favoring a new Bond Issue for School improvements, The Executive Becretary advised the Board of several VALC hearings that the State was havi~ on various topics. This day the County Road Engineer in accordance with directions from this Board made report in writin~ upon his examinatio~ of R,trig Road, Wast Chester Road, West Chester Circle, BUckhill'Road and Briarwbod Roatm in the Willow Oaks' ~ubdivision in Manchester District, which report shows that in the opinion of the County Road Engineer it is expedient that said roads be established ~s public'roai Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of Mr. Britton, it is resolved that Retti§ Road, West Chester Road, West Ch%stet Circle, Duckbill Road and Bria~wood Road, in the Willow Oaks Subdivision in Manchester District, be, and the same iS hereby established as public roads, And be it furthe~ resolved that the Virginia Department of H~ghways be and it hereby is requested' to taka into the Secondary System, R, trig Road, from a point on at.683, mt the intersection with Retti~ Road, .1 of a m ils eastwardly to Wes% Chester Road; West 0heater Road, from a point on the northern end of Retti~ Road, .07 of a mile westwardly, thence .Z5 of a ~ile northwardly to Duckbill Road .25 of a mile northwest from its intersection with a,trig Road, .06 of a mile eastwardly to a turn-around; Duckbill Road, from the' northern end of West Chester Road, .05 of' a ~ile westwardly to a turn-around~ Bri~wood Road, from the inter- section of Rettig Road and West Chester Road, .17 of a mile northeast to a turn- around. These roads serve 6 houses. And be it further resolved that the Board of Supervisors of ~hesterfield County i~uarantees a right of way of not less tha~ 50 feet for these roads to the Vir Department of Hi~hways. This day the County Road Engineer in ac0ordance with directions from this Board made report in writing upon his examination of Banbury Road in 'th. Fan* Court Subdivision in Bermuda District, which report shows that in the opinion of the County Road ~ngineer it is expedient that said road be established as a public ppon consideration ~hereof, and on motion 'of Mr. Goyne, it let.solved that Danbury ~ad in the Fan Court Subdivision, in Bermuda District, be, and the same is here~y established as a public road.' And be it further resolved that the Virginia Department of Highways be and it hereby is requested to'take into the Secondary Road System of Ohesterfield County Danbury Road, from a point on Wilton D~lve, .15 of a mile north of Rt. 616, .11 ct a mile we~t toElmwood Lane. This is a connecting road. And be it further resolved that the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County guarantees a right of way for this road of 50 feet to the Virginia Department of Hichways. On motion of Mr. Hagerman, seconded by Mr. Britton, be it Resolved: That from and after the effective date of this resolution, connections will be made to water a~d sewer mains and water meters installed in the Ettrick Sanitary District, upon written application and the payment in advance for the applicable connection fee set forth herein. The Board was requested to be represented at this meeting. It was generally a~reed that this matter be deferred until a later meeting. This day the Buildings and Grounds Committee made a rep~ on recent meetings on the new County office buildin~ and recommended thee~ooeptaNce of p~a~ ~Ba which deletes the lock-up i~ the New buildin~ and places the Police Department'on the ~irst floor and t~e offices of the Bulldin§ Inspector~ Water ~epartme~t~'County ~n[~ineer~ purchasing Clerk and the [xeoutive Secretary on the second floor~ and further recommends that a small elevator be provided, WhereupoN~ the Board made several suggestions as to'possible chan~es robe discusse with the architect. Upon consideration whereof~ and on motion of Mr, seconded by Mr. Driski11~ it is msolved t~at the ~xeoutive Secretary be and he her~ is authorized to t~ave final plans drawn'and presented to this Board for final approval before bids are received. This day the Executive Secretary peported the meaning of the word "minority group" in tho loan terminology as. set out by the public lm~ No.Sg0 in the Housing Aot of 1954.
