McKesson, it is resolved that ttzis bid be ..accepted. on motion of James W. Gordon, Jr., seconded by H. T. Goyne, it is resolved that thi. Board authorize the School Board to file an application for $50,000.00 from the State School Construction Fund in order to complete the addition to the Bon Air School, this resolution being at the request of the School Board. This day Mr. S. G. Nugent appeared before the Board represented by i~lr. D. W. Murphe.~ requesting this Board to grant a Use Peri,it on the following parcel of land: In Manchester Magisterial District, that parcel of land containing 1.64 acres and lying on both sides of the Belt Boulevard and adjoining the southerly side of Hopkins Road and adjoining land of Caudle, Jones, and the Atlantic Coast Line RR. and through which the Broad Rock branch meanders, and having a frontage of 200 feet more or less, on Belt Boulevard, for which a Use Permit is requested on the appli- cation of S. G. Nugent. Also, there appeared a group of citizens from that area represented by l~[r. Ealey, protesting such requested action by this Board. Upon conside~ation ~hereof~ and on motion of J. C. McKesson, seconded by James W. Gordon, Jr., it is resolved that this Beard doth grant this Use Peri,it for the aforesaid land. It is here noted that ]~r. Goyne and Dr. Gill voted negatively and requested that their votes b so recorded. This day there appeared ~[r. A. L. Davis requesting this Board to rezone the followin parcel of land from Agriculture to General Business: In Manchester Magisterial District, a parcel of land, fronting approximately 500 fee on the south side of Rt. 360 and extending back for a distance of 450 feet, said parcel of land being 600 feet ~st of Rt. 650. This application is made by A. L. Davis and is for rezoning from Agriculture to General Business. Upo~ con- sideration whereof and on motion of J. C. ]¥~cKesson, seconded by H. T. Goyne, it is resolved that this Board doth hereby rezone the aforementioned land from Agriculture to Gene ral Busine ss. This day ~4r. R~%rshall Cole, Jr., appeared before the Board requesting th~ the following parcel of land be rezoned from Residential to General Business: In Manchester Magisterial District, a parcel of land fronting ll5 feet on the west side of Rt. lO and extending back 250 feet, more or less, said parcel being 200 feet south of Cook's Road to be rezoned from Residential to General Business, on the application of I~iarshall Cole, Jr. Upon consideration whereof and on motion of J. C. McKesson, sec,~nded by J. G. Hening, it is resolved that this property be and it hereby is rezoned from Residential to General Busines. This day t~r. W. G. James, appeared requesting this Board to rezone the following parcel of land: In Midlothian Magisterial District, a parcel of land frcnting 495 feet on the north side of Rt. 60 and extending back 500 f~eet, sa~id parcel being approximately 1600 feet west of the intersection of Rm. 60 and 672, to be rezoned from Agriculture to General Business on ~he application of W. G. James. Upon consideration ~hereof and on motion of James W. Gordon, Jr., seconded by H.T. Go]me, it is resolved that this property be and it hereby is rezoned from Agricultur to Gene ral Busine ss. This day the Executive Secretary read to the Board a request to grant Elijah Cogbill a Use Permit for~he following described parcel of land: In Dale Magisterial District, a parcel of land fronting 360 feet on the south side a public road and extending back 606 feet, better known as Lots 6 and 7 in the sub- division of "Piney Branch", on which a Use Permit for a club house will be considere$ upon the ~pplication of Elijah Cogbill. This day Mr. Houff appeared requesting this Board to rezone the following parcel of land from Agriculture to General Business on behalf of the C~urch of the Brethren. In Bermuda Magisterial District, a parcel of land 13.29 acres, fronting on the south side of Rt. lO ap_proximately 660 feet and extending back S60 feet, more or less, bet' known as tracts ~ and 7 of "Rivermont Hills", to be rezoned from Agriculture to General Business on the application of the Church of the Brethren. Upon consideration ~hereof and on motion, it is resolved that this land be so rezoned. er This day there appeared before the Board several citizens from the colored Civic Association of the Kingaland area, requesting this Board to widen Rt. 613 from the Petersburg Pike to Friend's Store on Rt. 145. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of H. T. Goyne, seconded by Jar~es W. Gordon, Jr., it is resolved that this Board request the State Highways Department to widen this road and bring it up to the secondary standards. On motion of H. T. Goyne, seconded by James W. Gordon, Jr., it is resolved that Giles McDowell in Cherry Gardens; Stonewall Jackson on Osborne Road; and Landon Brsnch, near Chester, be allowed to build on lots which do not meet the necessary requirements as to lot size, provided they agree to connect to the Countywater lines when it is available. Goyne, it is resolved that this County strike off the $2806.6~ from the debt of the Ettrick Sanitary District incurred some years ago by borrowing from the County to build the municipal building in Ettrick.
