This day a de!e.~,'c~tion of sor:e tb. irty-O~ve citizens appeared to ~rotest the
apparent high .'ater bills for the months of August and September. This was
explained t~artially by the fact that there were perhaps inaccurate readings of
the water met?rs d tine Apri], May, June and July, that the exce~sive bills may
h,Tve ~:,een an '~ccumulation durinz ~ha:.;e monhhs, and that the filter plant had
actually pmnp-d over 5C~/~ mor~ :;~ater in Auzu~t and September than tim previous
tw:, months period. However, since some of the bills presented seemed inordinatel
hiffh, in consi, ler:tion whereof and on motlon of ~tr. Goyne, seconded by ~Lr. Britto
it is resolved that this Bo~:rd make an adjustment of all water bills by Averaging
the June, July, Au~zust and September bills of 1952 and adding 507; to the aw~rage,
and if this i"; below the amount billed, an adjustment is to be made.
And be i't ?urth,:~r resolved that this action does not include commercial ~ccounts
which must be satisfactorily handled individially.
This day fir. C. C. ':iells and fir. C. E. Curtis, members 0:6 the School Board,
ap~eared before t~e Board of Supervisors reque ;ting that approval be given to
the propssed hiring of an administrative a:-;;istant to the School Superintendent.
!fter some discuasion it was; agreed that this matter be again discu sed at ~

requ~st the ttighway Department to take into the Secondary System of roads, the
